I ended up with 41. I figured it didn't matter too much considering it was a prerelease and I already made back my money and then some with the fetches and Sorin, and I knew I definitely wanted 18 land, and nothing seemed like an obvious cut, so I didn't think too hard about it. Ended up going 3-2, losing to two Mardu decks that both had Butcher of the Hoard. Any thoughts as to how I could have built this differently?
White and black is obvious, imo. The question is what other colors, if any. I'm not sure, but splashing red for those 3 Bring Low seems nice to me. Splashing green is very easy with your mana pool, though it isn't very powerful. But yeah, I'd go WBrg, probably removing Temur Charger, War Behemoth, Sagu Archer and Awaken the Bear to play 3x Bring Low and Highspire Mantis. (-2 Forests, -1 Flooded Strand, +2 Rugged Highlands, +1 Mountain).
This deck's plan is to T3 morph, t4 trick. All of the vigiliance/lifelink stuff is particularly good with the +1/+1 counters, and the high toughnesses and removal spells should mean good things for the game going long.
I think you should note that in your original decklist you are running 3 fetch lands all of which produce R or U mana which you aren't playing. I would believe it would be better to just play a basic land of the appropriate color so you don't have to lose the 1 life. Are you doing this to perhaps help thin your deck? I don't see any delve cards, so I'm guessing you are. I'm not sure if the life is worth it. Thoughts people?

1x Hooting Mandrills
1x Highspire Mantis
1x Kill Shot
1x Temur Charger
1x Krumar Bond-Kin
1x Awaken the Bear
1x Bitter Revelation
making this:
1x Ainok Bond-Kin
1x Abzan Falconer
1x Sagu Archer
1x Sidisi's Pet
1x Abzan Guide
2x War Behemoth
1x Unyielding Krumar

1x Opulent Palace
1x Sandsteppe Citadel
1x Bloodstained Mire
1x Wooded Foothills
1x Swamp
1x Mountain
1x Forest
W 2 sources for 8 cards
B 7 sources for 4 cards
R 7 sources for 4 cards
G 8 sources for 2 cards
So it's pretty easy and obvious to make every other basic land a plains. Making this deck
