So notable missing cards: Healer, Lifespring Druid, and Cryptic Cruiser (and of course the ones that would almost never wheel pack 1 like Snare/Touch/Bed/Infiltrator). No big surprises there, but it is good to know what's been taken from among the non-premium cards.
Personally I'm thinking Shatterskull Recruit here. I don't necessarily like it more than the Oracle in a vacuum, just depends on your deck. But the fact that both the Infiltrator and the Cruiser were taken leads me to believe we probably aren't going to get there with an ingest/processor theme, at least not in a strong enough way to make the Oracle more than a 3/5 very often. And in that case I'd rather have the Recruit, who is just a little better w/o outside help. I am also still of the mind that we are more likely to end up Rx than Ux (although being UR is still very possible and maybe the most likely outcome), making the red card a safer pick.
If the Lifespring was still here then I'd definitely take that and look to go UGx converge. But with that missing I'm really reluctant to play green, so I'm not in favor of taking the Connection.
Dang, man, I dunno. I mean, some combination of Temur colors is obviously where we want to be. Nothing else is presenting itself at all. But wow these are awful packs.
Which of these cards sucks the least? I wouldn't be happy maining any of this stuff except for Oracle, but that's in a heavy Devoid deck that does not look like a likely direction for us. Even as sideboard cards this is pretty much all useless to us.
Given that, I think we should probably take Shatterskull Recruit. It sends the most useful signal, I think, and is a semi-playable.
