Wit's End is the PERFECT answer to your opponent's Monomania however.
Just hold on to your Wit's End when they Monomania, so you can Wit's End them on your next turn!!!
I think this is fairly reminiscent of the "Jace Battles" we have seen in past standards.. My guess is we will soon witness the great Monomania-Wit's End battles.
Serra Angel (it's the second best card after Rancor, but colour preference swings the pick for me).

I would have taken Rancor Pick 1. And then again Pick 2. Angel is close on pick one, but I think Rancor is better. And Invocation is probably one of the best uncommons (if not the best) uncommon in the set. But Double rancor makes you win the race.

DCI Level 1 Judge-
Thanks to Heroes of the Plane for the awesome Sig.
I actually went with serra angel followed by clone although I think that probably talrand's invocation is better. I just didn't like the idea of forcing UW so hard with a WW and UU spell as first two picks whereas clone fits any blue deck and is also splashable. I ended up as a very aggro UW fliers deck so I think the invocation really would have been better than the clone.
Reading is tech. Try it sometime before capslock raging.
Whoops. Sorry there. I thought that he said he picked Rancor.
Given that Talrand's Invocation is a better card than Rancor in a vacuum, I don't see how Rancor can possibly be the pick over Talrand's Invocation in pick 2 after picking Serra Angel over Rancor in the first pick.

Np man. I agree the pick is either Serra/Invocation or Rancor/Rancor though. Either way it is a really good first 2 picks.

Planar Cleansing, Serra Angel, Rancor, Deadly Recluse, nothing else of note
Angel might be the stronger card in a vacuum, but Rancor enables so much in the set that I wouldn't hesitate to pick it first.

Actually, YOU ignored his pick 1.
Given that he picked Rancor Pick 1, I think that the second Rancor is better than taking the otherwise superiour Talrand's Invocation.
Rancor is super overrated. As as wrath effects, especially ones with WWW in the cost.
Invocation is easily the best uncommon in the set. Serra Angel/Invocation are a better duo than 2 rancors.
