As I mentioned in this forum post, I'm a relatively new player and I attended my first draft last night. Here's the deck I ended up building. Any critiques would be appreciated. I have a feeling that I probably should have grabbed more creatures, but that's about it.
Also, before anyone asks, I did not use a sideboard because I really wasn't clear on how to use one. Next time I'll probably know better.
Based off your deck, it looks like you have the basics of the B.R.E.A.D system. Generally, I like to shoot for 13-16 creatures in my deck, and as much removal as I can get, without passing up bomb cards like Vampire Nighthawk, Talrand's Invocation, and Rancor.
I wouldn't play Craterize, Serpent's Gift, Bountiful Harvest, or Boundless Realms. Craterize costs too much (4 mana), for too little effect. Serpent's Gift often reads like: Pay 1 green, 2 colorless: Sacrifice a creature: Destroy target creature. Serpent's Gift is only a 1 for 1 if you have first strike creatures, but there's only three in M13, and one of those is unplayable Warclamp Mastiff. Bountiful Harvest doesn't give much life (maybe 5-7 life when you cast it? and doesn't change the board state. Boundless Realms is a combo card for Door to Nothingness; I don't think it can be used otherwise.
With more practice and experience you'll quickly get better at evaluating cards on the spot both in terms of individual value, and overall synergy with your deck. Good luck to you in your future drafts!

Focused on limited for now. Occasionally play some standard/modern as well.
I remember my early drafts, and this is WAY more solid than them. Took me a while to learn the ropes. Mercurio's already done a nice breakdown of your picks etc, so there's very little to add.
Next time draft more creatures and run 16-17 lands and a 40 or 41 card deck.
Would cut all instants besides Searing Spear. Chandra's Fury is a maybe.
Sorceries I would run Turn to Slag, Prey Upon, Fungal Sprouting
Creatures would want about 5 more to have 16ish,
Then would need to see what other creatures would be added and then see which cards are left over to add to have 23-24 total without lands. Then add 16-17 lands.
Mercurio: Thanks for the feedback. I agree that I should run a sideboard next time, especially now that I feel more comfortable doing so. Serpent's Gift was useless; I don't think I used it once. Bountiful Harvest and Smelt were surprisingly useful. It was probably a fluke, but there were a lot of artifacts coming up at the draft. And it was nice to have those Smelts when my opponent had a Trading Post and Gem of Becoming on the field. Even so, I see the value of have them in a sideboard instead of the main deck.
Stormscape: As I suspected, I probably needed more creatures in order to get one up over my opponents.

Fog is a sideboard card, if your opponent is relying heavily on combat tricks: Titanic Growth, Show of Valor.
Smelt is a sideboard card as well. If your opponent isn't playing any artifacts, it's a dead card in hand.
I also would have tried to draft more goblins to synergize with your Arms Dealer. Cards like Krenko's Command, Mogg Flunkies and Rummaging Goblin would have been perfect.

Keep it up!
