Hey, you know what? OP was right. Ghostbusters actually is really, really good. Outside of certain rare cards they're ridiculously tough to get around. I see them wheel a lot and they're amazing.
I'm surprised not to see Borderland Ranger in any of these discussions. I've probably first-picked him more than any card so far. A 2/2 body that fixes your mana and smoothes out your draws for 3 mana... and on top of it all, he's part of an extremely relevant tribe.
kruin striker and riot ringleader because I believe that the Rw humans deck is the best deck in the format. It just is fast and fairly consistent and you get a lot of 2 drops and some decent 1 drops
Red: Pillar of Flame, Hanweir Lancer or Thatcher Revolt
Black: Death Wind or Driver of the Dead
Blue: Mist Raven or Gryph Vanguard
White: Seraph of Dawn, or Voice of Provinces
Green: Trusted Forcemage or Geist Trappers

Black: Death Wind or Driver of the Dead
Blue: Mist Raven or Gryph Vanguard
White: Seraph of Dawn, or Voice of Provinces
Green: Trusted Forcemage or Geist Trappers
I would go a different direction:
Red - riot ringleader, hanweir lancer, thatcher's revolt
Black - Death Wind, Human Frailty, Bone Splinters, butcher ghoul
Blue - mist raven, wingcrafter, peel from reality
White - seraph of dawn, moorland inquisitor, cloudshift
Green - trusted forcemage, geist trappers, borderland ranger
frankly, driver and voice aren't very good. Pillar is kind of overrated (as is most of the removal like righteous blow), and the good 1-2 drops in the format are extremely underrated by most players. Wingcrafter is extremely good, and pairs well with basically everything. Inquisitor is a card that I initially undervalued, but I have found becomes more and more important the more you play the format. If you're a heavy white deck with late game angels, he's a good early play. If you're GW, he's a pretty good guy to pair with for various reasons, and in the red-based aggressive deck, he's a solid addition to your early game. Overall, the card is just extremely important to have.

Other than the fact that Human Frailty is an uncommon this is very very accurate.
The only change is that I would take Kruin Striker before taking revolt unless I already had 2 ringleaders.

Asking people to remove quotes in their signatures is tyranny! If I can't say something just because someone's feelings are hurt then no one would ever be able to say anything! Political correctness is stupid.

Ringleader is alright, but you need a lot of humans to do that. Human frailty is uncommon dude. I would agree to wingcrafter. Inquisitor would be good as well and I was thinking between borderland ranger or wandering wolf

EDIT: take back "literally" Heirs of Stromkirk is playable. Close to all creatures are humans.

I actually like to think of the red deck as having a "Big 5 Humans" and I consider it a super successful draft if I can get at least 1 of each. Those five are:

Then you draft with baddies. But for what it is worth i have come off of them being the best common in the set because is green is just so over drafted. I still consider them the best Green common.

I don't know is it just me or has the clear best common never been so obvious in a set before? Maybe I just wasn't paying close enough attention. huh.
I think doom blade in the last two core sets was actually better, because it was just as good but also splashable. In m12 I took doom blade over chandra, and I have already taken trusted forcemage over avacyn. When you start slamming commons over decent mythics, you know they are pretty busted.

I've taken Ranger over Forcemage a few times and never regretted it; one draft I got 3 Geist Trappers in pack 1, so the Ranger was instrumental in helping me to 5 mana. Plus, many creatures in this format (or in Limited in general) are 2/2 or so, so he can trade w/ something after too. He's definitely the guy you want in your opening hand.
Apparently the "best" blue commons aren't widely known. I drafted last night and got x3 Mist Raven and x3 Gryff Vanguard, +Nephalia Smuggler (Along with x2 Into the Void, x2 Peel from Reality, and x3 Crippling Chill).
Needless to say; the best draft deck I've ever had. Went 3-0 and won the pod.

It's 3 AM my time -- my bad
Let's put butcher ghoul in that spot!
There are plenty of red humans.

That's all red has. Literally every single red playable common that isn't direct damage (pillar of flame or Thunderbolt) is a human.
Kruin Striker
Fervent Cathar
Lancer
Revolt
Ringleader
Mad Prophet

In that order for overall best commons per color
