I got a pretty boring sealed pool, only ended up running 1 rare... got a godawful set of rares...otherworld atlas (just terrible), gloom surgeon (fine I guess but not really a game-winner, feels like more of an uncommon considering he gets boxed out by a 2/3), misthollow griffin (perfectly playable but not terribly exciting), killing wave (ugh, worst wipe in the universe), and conjurer's closet (cool for constructed, garbage for limited).
But I ended up going 3-1 (the match I lost was against the boogeyman player at the store, he's a judge and just really strong limited player, although I did beat him at the INN prerelease because no one expects the 2x moment of heroism ftw...oh wait, except that he actually guessed I might have exactly that but decided to take the risk...although I did almost crap my pants and wished I had a better poker face when he wondered out loud if I had 2 moment of heroisms...seriously, who guesses that? plus he only won because he derped into hound of griselbrand + revenge of the hunted in both games he won...i mean seriously, wtf is that garbage?....but I digress), winning all my wins in 2 and my loss in 3 and it is entirely thanks to my MVP, rare #6...
This guy is a boss. don't think I ever lost a game when he came out. He gives green the sort of board control that green should never, ever get. Absolutely bonkers when combined with combat. in response to pumps or whatever, bam, kill it. You're stacking? in response, take out another one and go down in a blaze of glory. you've got a hound of griselbrand? (2 people, grr, must have seem him at least 4 times) good thing double strike means jack when you're fighting!
the little bastard must have killed 20 creatures over the course of the prerelease for me. CA beyond reason for 1 measely mana. also, hilarious with an unbound flowering lumberknot. attacking and blocking is for losers. and did i mention i got 2 nightshade peddlers? yeaaaahh....sorta retarded.
Anyway I'm naming mine michael vick and he's probably going into my glissa deck.
What other cards were people's favorites in the new limited?

For me, it was totally Homicidal Seclusion putting a lot of pressure on opponents. +3 power and lifelink is not a trivial combination. Won two matches because of that card, one of which I was at 42 life because my 8/4 lifelink Renegade Demon had to punch through a few blockers.
Terminus. That card is the stone cold nuts. I hardcast it in almost every round, and even round 4, I miracle'd it in both game 1, and game 2(both times with my opponent's loaded board, saved my arse so hard).
Tandem Lookout is amazing x100. Whenever that card came down, I started drawing nutso amount of cards, especially since I usually bonded to some sort of flyer.
Blessing of nature was incredible. Half the time it was travel prep on steroids and I was perfectly happy playing it for the full cost. Also, almost all of the soulbond cards were fantastic, even the firebreather wasn't terrible.
I have to say Silverblade Paladin was pretty much a MVP for me, but anything with deathtouch really hurt my deck as this set has almost no removal at all.
I expected Kessig Malcontents to be good. I did not expect it to define my deck, be the fastest card, or the best burn spell. Every game I played it where they didn't gain at least 8 life I won. I wish I opened 3.

My teammate for the 2HG tourney tonight had Falkenrath Exterminator and it was excellent with my green deck. One game he played it on turn two, then I played Timberland Guide and targetted FE. Turn three, I played another Guide and he attacked with FE for a third counter. Turn four, Miracled Blessings of Nature. Lol.
Triumph of Ferocity was also excellent for consistent card draw, both in my 2HG and regular sealed.
I had a very solid U/W flyers deck. Not a ton of rares but lots of synergy for a sealed deck (it was pretty comparable to a draft deck).
If I had to pick an MVP it would probably be Seraph of Dawn. The card is just way too good for a common and every time I played it I gained at least 6 life off of it. I can't even remember how many games it swung in my favor but it was several, and it's pretty difficult to lose a race with it on your side. Divine Deflection was the only rare I played and it was quite good as well. Led to a lot of blowouts in combat and situations where it was basically just a white fireball.
My two copies of dark imposter won most of my games. Restoration angel was pretty good also. Went 3-2. Lost to Tamiyo and Revenge of the hunted, second to champion of the lamboldt with 4 counters and faster aggro.
Wandering Wolf was a star for me as well.
Turn 2 Wandering Wolf Turn 3 miracled blessings of nature making a 6/5 wolf happened way more times than i care to admit
Avacyn, Angel of Hope went 3 for 3 for me. Twice, she induced insta-scoops and the third time, I was way behind, but had some blockers, he alpha-ed into me, not remembering the "everything is indestructable" bit, turned a bit red in the face and scooped. Mythic Rare bombs are kind of expected to do stuff like this, though.
Thatcher Revolt with either Kruin Striker or a Riot Ringleader out demolished almost everyone I played. Surprisingly good as it had so much synergy with the other red Humans in my deck.

My List of Current Decks: -Modern- WMartyrProcB BBurnR -Commander-
Entreat the Angels Every single time I needed this card to have any chance of winning. I drew it. Miracles cards love me, out of the 12 games I played, i played this card about 9-10 games. About half of those for it's miracle cost.
My pool was good. There was a very clear GR aggro deck that I thought would basically outrace most of the decks there. (lightning maulerfalkenrath exterminatorKruin strikernightshade peddlerwandering wolf, you get it, a plethora of lovely 2 drops.) but I also splashed blue for draw, and because I wanted to use Tamiyo! Tamiyo played well, and was cast all but one of the games I drew her, so the 3 color deck wasn't an issue, however, she was not my MVP. My MVP was wing crafter. That dude is outstanding. Turn one crafter into turn 2 falkenrath exterminator or turn 3 timberland guide was just disgusting, and way too much for people to handle in a set with such light removal. Cards that also played very well for me were eaten by spiders, which I maindecked to great success after losing my first round to white's crazy fliers, and amass the components which pulled me out of many a land clump. I won the next 3 rounds for a fair 3-1 record.
another play of note. My board was 4 soulbond creatures and 6 mana. I played the last 2 cards in my hand: thatcher revolt and mass appeal. 7 cards.
For commons, the Nearheath Pilgrim was my MVP. Won me a lot of races, and recovered my slow deck from aggro. Let me ignore some fliers to swing back with life-linked beefy landbound guys. Soulbound in general is the MVP.
As great as it is, I'm pretty sure it's not a Common.

I only managed to get the Gallows out in one game, but being able to take out Archangels and replacing them with 1/1 spirits was great. Also managed to remove my own creature in response to removal and get my own spirit to keep on the beatdown.

woops. yeah, exterminator. He's really great. at worst, he forces trades, at best, he's sparksmith on roids.
Mad Prophet was also super good.
Bone Splinters was amazing because it is like the only nonconditional piece of removal and goes very well with a lot of the other cards in the set.
Triumph of Ferocity was also excellent for consistent card draw, both in my 2HG and regular sealed.

JAMMIT DIM! I'm a DOCTOR not a DECKBUILDER!
Took me to 8th/56 from a pool i wasn't estatic about was forced into UB control and it worked. 4. Captain of the mists, 3. Deadeye Navigator, and 5. Dread Slaver or Maalfeld Twins were all in top 5.
But dark impostor and Elgaud were easily top 2 cards, elgaud i got lucky to have 3 of though.
If I had to pick a common or uncommon MVP, I would go with Wandering Wolf. Paired with Druid's Familiar and Tormentor's Trident, he was brutal.

One pool, I had an Ulvenwald Tracker and a Moonsilver Spear and only lost to pools with 2 Ulvenwald Trackers, or Wolfir Silverheart or a turn 6 Tyrant of Discord.
The other pool I had a Dark Imposter, Harvester of Souls and Restoration Angel. Lost to a pool with (turn 4 miracle) Entreat the Angels, Angel of Glory's Rise, and Restoration Angel.
For commons, the Nearheath Pilgrim was my MVP. Won me a lot of races, and recovered my slow deck from aggro. Let me ignore some fliers to swing back with life-linked beefy landbound guys. Soulbound in general is the MVP.
