We have some large creatures (Baloths, Pyromancer, Minotaur, Giant) that we want to get through with. Kitesail is definitely something to consider, and worlds better than Hammer of Ruin in our deck.
The Sage is occupied with the unspoken
and acts without effort.
Teaching without verbosity,
producing without possessing,
creating without regard to result,
claiming nothing,
the Sage has nothing to lose.
Seariously though, Searing Blaze has to be the pick here. We lack removal for a red deck and the equipment, while both good, are probably better in aggro decks. The Kitesail can indeed help us in the late game but I'm more concerned with getting to the late game first. We need more removal for that.
It's more that people always overvalue removal. Really, if they make a card ":symb:: Sorcery: As an additional cost, get F'd in the A. Destroy target creature." people will say "removal is removal" and first-pick it.
What a disapointment. I was looking forward to the WWK pack, and we get this? A jank white ally is our rare? This blows. Oh, and to add relevance to this post, Searing Blaze is the obvious pick here, although I doubt I will be playing the card in constructed.

Why are you worried about the constructed playability of our removal? Or our rare? Are you planning on moneydrafting hypothetical cards? o.O
A pack of WWK can be *really* underwhelming for red. Opening removal is fine.

I'll be sad if people don't start calling The Chain Veil "Fleetwood Mac."

No reason, I was just hoping we would crack a Mythic in our colours, or at least a pack with a debatable pick. As for my jank comment, I realize he is solid in white, I just generally lump all allies as 'jank' since I detest them so much.

Hoping to crack a mythic in your colors is not a very potent draft strategy Searing Blaze is pretty much the best possible scenario for us barring Collar, Comet Storm, or Sparkmage.

Actually, that's an interesting question... if this pack had has searing blaze/dragonmaster outcast, what would you take?
I'd still probably take searing blaze over the outcast.

Normally I would take the Outcast but Blaze might be better for our deck. Also I had forgotten about Strength of the Tajuru, but that card is mostly good when you have a bunch of small creatures so I dunno how good it'd be for our deck. Well, great obviously, but as good as searing blaze?

Strength of Tajuru straight up wins games, from what I've seen from it. The thing is, it can be like machete'ing up all your guys, or you can just invest it all in one or two guys, if you have to.
I would put SoT up there with Eldrazi Monument in terms of power level.
But it's not in our pack, and I'm happy at what we opened.

Proud bearer of the Sigil of Distinction, bestowed by the Limited clan.
I wouldn't say Talus Paladin is jank. Totally playable even just as a 3/4 for 3W. The lifelink can be a total blowout if you have other Allies.
But obviously we have no interest in it now.
