What are some money cards to watch out for during the pre release? Last time I pulled an Abrupt Decay and traded it for some worthless 10 cent uncommons and dont want that to happen again.
Also, what do you do with the money cards you get lucky and pull? Do you trade them for store credit, trade for cards other players have that they pulled, or for more modern cards for, of course, modern, vintage?

You should probably read through C Wescoe's financial predictions for Gatecrash article on TCGPlayer. He predicts the top money card coming out of GTC to be Domri Rade. However, he predicts Aurelia's Fury to not hold onto it's current price so you might want to unload one at the Prerelease if you pull it.
I sell them as soon as possible. Probably because I don't play paper magic anymore other than prereleases. If I win a box tomorrow, anybody wanna buy it a week before the release?
As a starting point I would use SCG's advanced search to return all Gatecrash cards with a price >= whatever your threshold for valuable is. (And keep in mind the .99 pricing convention, so if you want cards worth $4 or more, use $3.99.)
However, as implied in this thread, cards do not usually maintain that prerelease value for long. Unless a card stands a strong chance of holding value for a while, or you want to play with it, I would unload it fairly quickly.
If someone at the prerelease is willing to trade staples for it I'll often do that. If I can get a fetch or something it stands a better chance of holding value than a card that was just released. Other than that I'll usually sell them on the forums here.

Agreed. The bottom fell out on RTR prices as soon as the market was flooded, so the first month of release if for sure the best time to sell cards. On MTGO, you can sell $$ cards instantly, so any card that I don't plan on using in constructed I sell right away in the first month. Once the price drops I hold on to them until the prices go up again. I have like 8x+ of most decent RTR rares/mythics, but I probably won't sell until Dragon's Maze comes out. Except Sphinx's. I sell those as soon as I pull them, haha.
Know what the cards are worth right now and try to unload them during the prerelease, unless you strongly believe something is a sleeper and will rise in time. The vast majority of new cards are over-inflated right now and are worth more now than they ever will be later.
Seeing that you took a bath on Abrupt Decay, knowing accurate values is going to be the most important thing for you.
Try to sell them for good value if you get some money cards. If you happen to open a planeswalker, you know that people will be goo goo ga ga over them, so try to sell one to a small child for 4x actual value.

If a college age kid or older is really offering to pay you 4x for them, go for it, but I would sincerely hope we aren't preying upon small children to make a quick buck. Might as well just beat them up and steal their lunch money while we're at it.
Also keep in mind, most game stores have strict "NO SELLING" policies in place. Going against them can get you suspended/banned from the store.
Obzedat, Ghost Council seems to be going for around $20 on ebay. I'm kind of surprised at that. Aurelia's Fury is going for $20-$25. Seems like an expensive burn spell, but time will tell if it can find a home in a deck. Almost more of a control card than an aggro card.
Any other cards going for over $20 currently? Domri Rade is hovering around $15-$18 and personally I can't see it being used.

I seriously hope this bolded part is a joke. Ripping someone off like that is silly.
Does anyone remember the $5 Arcbound Ravager presales? ;p That card blew up to 25$ afterwards. A number of people were very happy campers when they got those Ravagers early on.

The best way to avoid that is to insist on getting a price quote from an online site like TCGPlayer or SCG before agreeing to a trade. In our modern era, any smartphone can access their websites at the event, and there are great apps for your smartphone that makes getting quotes even easier. If you don't have a phone or tablet, I guarantee there will be someone who can lend you their device to check.
Don't let a sharkish trader belittle you for checking prices. You are not being rude or a snob by checking prices, you are ensuring both parties get a fair trade.

I don't think there's anything wrong with being a shark, as long as both players understand that the other is trying to trade for a profit. If you are ripping off some little kids *cough Pulse cough* (J/K bro), then that's wrong, but otherwise, an adult should be aware of the resources available to him and not feel bad about it.
I purchased two Wastelands for a quarter a piece at a flea market. The guy had everything priced how he wanted to sell it, so I felt no problem taking his hundred dollars. Should've done some research.
-edit- I also didn't realize that you were specifically talking about sharks belittling others. Don't let that happen at all. It's called the internet, that punk can get over it.

Sharking seems like such a waste of time and in the long run probably hurts your ability to trade...causing you more harm than the ~25 in profit you make over a year or so.
