I was expecting more Destructive Revelrys to wheel since there is no way anyone else was in RG with pick 11 Stoneshock Giant... I should have grabbed at least one earlier as I needed some enchantment removal against the Heroic decks. Someone must have hate picked them.
The deck:
Making cuts for this was difficult. I wanted to play "Splash Blue for Profit".dec, but many in-color playables too.
Because MTGO locks you into your initial deck for every game 1, I opted to not splash for the submitted deck and then just ended up splashing in every game 2-3.
I've only had 4 hours of sleep and am somewhat hungover, which accounts for some of this chaff.
Round 1 - vs UB control
Game 1 I stomped him. Involved T2 Satyr, T3 Fanatic of Xenagos, T4 kill 3/3 blocker with flashed Feral Invocation, T5 he tapped out for Sphinx's Disciple so I Hunter's Prowess + Aspect of Hydra to put him at almost dead and draw 10 cards. He surprisingly doesn't concede after "draw 10".
SB: -1 Aspect of Hydra, -1 Hunter's Prowess, -1 Satyr Wayfinder, -1 Forest, -1 Mountain, +2 Island, +1 Nylea's Presence, +1 Prophet of Kruphix, +1 Benthic Giant
Game 2 he got mana screwed and I stomped him again. Nothing of note.
Round 2 - vs GW Heroic Game 1 I curved out and stomped him.

Game 2
I stumbled on mana, ironically red and not green. Could not hit double red to Anger of the Gods when I really needed to kill a 3/3 Centaur Battlemaster. Later, when facing 2 gigantic Centaur Battlemasters, I still could have stabilized with a second red source to Portent of Betrayal the bigger one and use it to Fall of the Hammer the other. But 2 Mountains were not happening.
Game 3
I got an early 3-for-1 off Anger with Karametra's Acolyte just chillin'. We both play Nessian Asps, except mine can actually go Monstrous thanks to Acolyte so he can't block. I drop a Demolok, which he refuses to pay tribute for, so I get to blow up one of his two Plains (when at 6 lands) and crush his dreams of going Monstrous. I start attacking with fat and he's on heavy defensive.
I make a major misplay here. I have a 9/9 Reverent Hunter, 3/1 Nyxborn Wolf unbestowed, 1/2 Voyaging Satyr and 1/4 Karametra's Acolyte to his 5 untapped lands and 3/3 Centaur Battlemaster. He's at 4 life and I'm at 15. He did nothing on his main phase. I guess I was afraid he would somehow survive and kill me on the back swing with a massive Battlemaster, so I only attack with the Hunter, Wolf and and Satyr. I figure even if he has double Savage Surge or Gods Willing or something, he can block and survive the Hunter but dies to my other guys. He plays Divine Verdict, of course, killing the Hunter and blocking and killing the Satyr going to 1. Had I attacked with Acolyte, I would have forced him to block and trade with the Wolf, he would go to 2, and I'm left in a much better position. He untaps and bestows something on Battlemaster making it crazy big. But he leaves it on defense. We stall out for a few turns and then I get lucky and find Portent of Betrayal (and remember to attack with my Acolyte for the extra 1!) for the win.
Round 3 - vs UW Heroic Game 1
I see Voyaging Satyr, Satyr Hedonist, Nylea's Disciple and 9 lands (flooding hard). He gets T2 Battlewise Hoplite, T3 bestow with Nyxborn Shieldmate, T4 bestow with Hopeful Eidolon. An Akroan Skyguard, Ordeal of Heliod and Sudden Storm later I lose this game hard.
I wonder if I had better sideboard options here. My goal was to maximize my ways to kill his Heroic guys before they get insane.

Game 2.
He mulls to 6. I keep a borderline 2 Mountain, Anger of the Gods, Nylea's Presence, Voyaging Satyr, Ember Swallower, Prophet of Kruphix hand. If I draw a Forest, awesome. But I should have kept 9 Forest / 5 Mountain instead of 8 Forest / 6 Mountain. My odds of seeing green weren't amazing. I really shouldn't have been playing an 8-4 this hung over.
I do draw lands and hit 4 lands on turn 4, but they're all Mountains. Luckkily he starts off with Cavalry Pegasus, Elite Skirmisher and then Wingsteed Rider. So I get mad value with turn 4 Anger of the Gods. Follow that up with turn 5 Island + Ember Swallower and I'm in a good controlling position. He tries to race, dropping some non-Heroic dork and Voltroning it with Nyxborn Shieldmate and Aqueous Form. But I draw the Forest and drop Prophet.
On his turn, he bestows Observant Alseid and attacks with a 5/6 Vigilance unblockable, putting me at 7. I try to maximize my mana usage by flashing in Feral Invocation on my Prophet of Kruphix EOT. I untap with 6 lands and 4/5 Ember Swallower and 4/5 Prophet. My hand includes Nylea's Disciple, Nyxborn Wolf, Nylea's Presence, Savage Surge, Pheres-Band Tromper. He's at 12, tapped out on 5 lands after bestowing the Alseid. My plan is to drop Nylea's Presence and swing with my team for some damage, play another green creature after combat, untap my lands and flash in Disciple to gain a bunch of life and survive even if he has more tricks to deal more than 7 damage on his next unblockable attack. Seems good.
Here's what I actually do:
Nylea's Presence on Island, giving me untapped Island/everyland + 3 Mountain.
Attack with 4/5 Ember Swallower and 4/5 Prophet.
I've been happily clicking through priority a bunch of uncounted times and I decide to be "LULZY" by flashing in Tromper during the combat step instead of after combat. You know, just because I can. Prophet Lulz. He's tapped out, it's not going to affect anything right?
Yeah, you know where this is going. I didn't realize this was still in Declare Attackers step. And I forgot his dude could block since he just bestowed it with vigilance. And, because the numbers are so small, I forgot it was now a 5/6. Oops. He blocks and kills Prophet. I don't have mana for Savage Surge. I don't get to untap and play creatures and gain life. he bestows Hopeful Eidolon, hits me for 6 lifelink unblockable and there are 0 plays that save me next turn.
Had I just even waited to play the Tromper, he either wouldn't have blocked (going to 4 , saving my Prophet, letting me drop more dudes and dying to my next attack despite the lifelink) or would have blocked, getting blown out by Savage Surge (and I still get to untap and drop more guys). I had literally already won this game. Whoops.
This is why you don't play 8-4s hungover on 4 hours of sleep. EVER.

Game 1 I stomped him. Involved T2 Satyr, T3 Fanatic of Xenagos, T4 kill 3/3 blocker with flashed Feral Invocation, T5 he tapped out for Sphinx's Disciple so I Hunter's Prowess + Aspect of Hydra to put him at almost dead and draw 10 cards. He surprisingly doesn't concede after "draw 10".

Game 2
I stumbled on mana, ironically red and not green. Could not hit double red to Anger of the Gods when I really needed to kill a 3/3 Centaur Battlemaster. Later, when facing 2 gigantic Centaur Battlemasters, I still could have stabilized with a second red source to Portent of Betrayal the bigger one and use it to Fall of the Hammer the other. But 2 Mountains were not happening.
Game 3
I got an early 3-for-1 off Anger with Karametra's Acolyte just chillin'. We both play Nessian Asps, except mine can actually go Monstrous thanks to Acolyte so he can't block. I drop a Demolok, which he refuses to pay tribute for, so I get to blow up one of his two Plains (when at 6 lands) and crush his dreams of going Monstrous. I start attacking with fat and he's on heavy defensive.
I make a major misplay here. I have a 9/9 Reverent Hunter, 3/1 Nyxborn Wolf unbestowed, 1/2 Voyaging Satyr and 1/4 Karametra's Acolyte to his 5 untapped lands and 3/3 Centaur Battlemaster. He's at 4 life and I'm at 15. He did nothing on his main phase. I guess I was afraid he would somehow survive and kill me on the back swing with a massive Battlemaster, so I only attack with the Hunter, Wolf and and Satyr. I figure even if he has double Savage Surge or Gods Willing or something, he can block and survive the Hunter but dies to my other guys. He plays Divine Verdict, of course, killing the Hunter and blocking and killing the Satyr going to 1. Had I attacked with Acolyte, I would have forced him to block and trade with the Wolf, he would go to 2, and I'm left in a much better position. He untaps and bestows something on Battlemaster making it crazy big. But he leaves it on defense. We stall out for a few turns and then I get lucky and find Portent of Betrayal (and remember to attack with my Acolyte for the extra 1!) for the win.
Round 3 - vs UW Heroic
Game 1
I see Voyaging Satyr, Satyr Hedonist, Nylea's Disciple and 9 lands (flooding hard). He gets T2 Battlewise Hoplite, T3 bestow with Nyxborn Shieldmate, T4 bestow with Hopeful Eidolon. An Akroan Skyguard, Ordeal of Heliod and Sudden Storm later I lose this game hard.
I wonder if I had better sideboard options here. My goal was to maximize my ways to kill his Heroic guys before they get insane.

Game 2.
He mulls to 6. I keep a borderline 2 Mountain, Anger of the Gods, Nylea's Presence, Voyaging Satyr, Ember Swallower, Prophet of Kruphix hand. If I draw a Forest, awesome. But I should have kept 9 Forest / 5 Mountain instead of 8 Forest / 6 Mountain. My odds of seeing green weren't amazing. I really shouldn't have been playing an 8-4 this hung over.
I do draw lands and hit 4 lands on turn 4, but they're all Mountains. Luckkily he starts off with Cavalry Pegasus, Elite Skirmisher and then Wingsteed Rider. So I get mad value with turn 4 Anger of the Gods. Follow that up with turn 5 Island + Ember Swallower and I'm in a good controlling position. He tries to race, dropping some non-Heroic dork and Voltroning it with Nyxborn Shieldmate and Aqueous Form. But I draw the Forest and drop Prophet.
On his turn, he bestows Observant Alseid and attacks with a 5/6 Vigilance unblockable, putting me at 7. I try to maximize my mana usage by flashing in Feral Invocation on my Prophet of Kruphix EOT. I untap with 6 lands and 4/5 Ember Swallower and 4/5 Prophet. My hand includes Nylea's Disciple, Nyxborn Wolf, Nylea's Presence, Savage Surge, Pheres-Band Tromper. He's at 12, tapped out on 5 lands after bestowing the Alseid. My plan is to drop Nylea's Presence and swing with my team for some damage, play another green creature after combat, untap my lands and flash in Disciple to gain a bunch of life and survive even if he has more tricks to deal more than 7 damage on his next unblockable attack. Seems good.
Here's what I actually do:
Nylea's Presence on Island, giving me untapped Island/everyland + 3 Mountain.
Attack with 4/5 Ember Swallower and 4/5 Prophet.
I've been happily clicking through priority a bunch of uncounted times and I decide to be "LULZY" by flashing in Tromper during the combat step instead of after combat. You know, just because I can. Prophet Lulz. He's tapped out, it's not going to affect anything right?
Yeah, you know where this is going. I didn't realize this was still in Declare Attackers step. And I forgot his dude could block since he just bestowed it with vigilance. And, because the numbers are so small, I forgot it was now a 5/6. Oops. He blocks and kills Prophet. I don't have mana for Savage Surge. I don't get to untap and play creatures and gain life. he bestows Hopeful Eidolon, hits me for 6 lifelink unblockable and there are 0 plays that save me next turn.
Had I just even waited to play the Tromper, he either wouldn't have blocked (going to 4 , saving my Prophet, letting me drop more dudes and dying to my next attack despite the lifelink) or would have blocked, getting blown out by Savage Surge (and I still get to untap and drop more guys). I had literally already won this game. Whoops.
This is why you don't play 8-4s hungover on 4 hours of sleep. EVER.
