First of all: switch to Swiss. You'll get to play a lot more and get a better idea whether you are drafting bad decks or just happening to run into a better one in round 1. Also you'll just get more play experience period. What I do is play Swiss until I 3-0 one, then I play 8-4s until I fail to cash. That's been a reasonable way for me to play a few 8-4s without having the kind of streak you are going through.
Looking at the draft (I'm evaluating as I go here, so I don't know how the draft turned out):
Picks 1 and 2 - Fine. Glimpse is pretty nuts. The Hero can be great or meh, but is still pretty good. Fwiw, I think the Wolf, rather than the Tromper, would have been my next choice. The flexibility of bestow is just so good.
P1P3 - Skirmisher for sure. God-Favored General really needs some support in the form of Spear of Heliod or Phalanx Leader, or a least a way to give him evasion, to be any good.
P1P4 - Careful about thinking that something is open based on a single pick. The Sudden Storm is a sign that blue *may* be open, but it could be that there were cards that people to your right thought were better in the pack (retraction helix for example). The pick seems reasonable.
P1P6 - That's a pretty late Noble Quarry. I think it's the pick here. Stratus walk is fine, but if green does end up being open it's way better.
P1P7 - That is late, but there's been basically no red cards passed to you. You say there's nothing for UW. A 2-drop is never 'nothing' in a deck that is looking to be aggressive. Deepwater Hypnotist should have at least been a consideration.
P1P12 - Siren Song Lyre is occasionally useful out of the sideboard. Dawn to Dusk is probably less playable than that.
P1P13 - OK, really marginal here, but Eye Gouge is pretty good against you (since you have the Skirmisher and Hypnotist and hope be picking up Vaporkins, Phalanx Leaders, etc.).
P2P1 - Why is white a given? It hasn't been terribly open and you only have 2 playable cards in it (one admittedly quite good). I think Voyage's End is the pick, since blue is the thing you seem to most definitely be.
P2P5 - Triton Tactics over the wavecrash here I think.
The handwringing above aside, I don't see anything obviously wrong with your drafting. In hindsight it looks like UG might have been the place to be, but that's mostly because you kept seeing good green in the picks 1 and 2, which isn't exactly something you can read. It would be useful to also list the deck you ended up building.
Yeah, I'll stop being lazy and post the decks I used. I usually figure it's pretty self-explanatory and the draft is the most important thing to receive feedback on, but I'm sure my deck-building needs help too.

Yeah, I mean, I could probably go through the draft and figure out what your deck was to within a card or 2, but it's kind time consuming and being able to see the actual curve is helpful. (On that note if you can organize the deck list by mana cost I always find it much easier to analyze).
So I just want to say that its not uncommon (shockingly not uncommon) to see a BTT draft come down to the UW deck vs the WR deck. The fact that the UW drafter played against the WR deck in round 1 could just be bad luck. The finals of GP Montreal was exactly this match, and coincidentally so was the finals of my last draft. I think UW and WR are both (1) commonly drafted and (2) very good, so that you often see this match-up deciding drafts. Remember that in single elimination you might have played against the best deck at the table round 1.
The main pick i'd take differently is p2p1, I'd take gods willing over voyage's end. In UW, you're aggro and need more way to be aggro than ways to answer threats. Gods willing is crazy good in a vacuum and is a linchpin of Wx aggro. That being said, it's clear that white is overdrafted at the table and you got only scrap of the W heroic deck. Still, wingsteed, battlewise and heliod's emissary are really goods cards. You were probably short of 2 heroic guys to really have a shot.

Long story short, I went with UW aggro and knew my deck wasn't solid. I crapped out against a WR aggro deck in Round 1.
I know that this format has me really baffled as I've lost in Round 1 6 drafts in a row now (and yet I haven't learned my lesson to switch to Swiss?).
What am I doing wrong here? I know I'm just not getting BNG and would love some pointers.
Thanks!
PJ
