The major weakness of this deck was the lack of targeting effects. Only 2 bestow creatures and no combat tricks other than Retraction Helix which isn't really what an aggressive UW deck wants to be using. Hard to complain about getting 2 planeswalkers, but that, plus the fact that neither of my colors seemed all that open meant that I ended up being pushed on playables and having to run the Ephara's Warden, Revoke Existence, and Coastline Chimera, all of which I'd prefer to bring out of the sideboard.
Match 1 was the UW mirror. I imagine he was trying to voltron up, but it never happened for him and I was able to outrace him.
Match 2 was UG with Kiora. He got her out game 1 but I managed to have enough flyers + the Aqueous form to kill her and win that game and 2 Gainsays coming in allowed me to win game 2 handily.
Match 3 was UR, meaning I faced blue in all 3 matches. He had a decent amount of removal to hold off my fast starts and a better long game with Shipbreaker Kraken and Sealock Monster to win 2 games to 1.
By pack 3 it was evident that my colors weren't very open, but I never really saw a great opportunity to jump out of them. Black looked very open at the end, but I saw no black of consequence in pack 1 - maybe the fact that the end of the pack saw so many playable black cards should have made me look a little harder to go into it on the assumption that black was just bad in that pack? That is certainly something that happens in BTT. Every time I was getting ready to jump to black or green I felt like I got a card good enough to stay on color. I'd love to hear if anyone has a place they would have jumped.
p1p2: were there really two helix and a storm there?
p1p3: is enlightenment good? I've only played it once and it seemed clunky and mana-intensive. Maybe chorus is better?
p1p4: excoriate makes a fine late-game top deck, especially when losing.
p2p2: obv, really? I think I value favorite hoplite higher. It wins game by itself sometimes, while VE is a great card, but only a tempo play.
p2p6: snare lets you push damage through, I tend to like them better than elder.
p2p9: I think I prefer elder over warden in a aggro deck, but they're pretty close anyway.
p3p1: you're deck sure has very few heroic enablers.
You got unlucky not getting any heroic tricks. Still, double mythics PW and a honest WU deck, not much to complain about!

One of the Helixes was a foil (the logging doesn't seem to log that). I of course took the foil one for value :P.

It's kind of a low floor/high ceiling card. Sometimes you get 2-for-1ed, sometimes you hit your Wingsteed rider with it 3 times and make it ridiculous. Granting flying is pretty nice too.

Hoplite, by definition, does not win the game by itself, but I do agree it is a very good card. White blue just needs a way to answer though, and bounce is the answer it has, and Voyages End is cheap and it scrys. I'd almost always take it before Favored Hoplite personally.

I agree with most of what you said, but I think Hoplite is better here than Voyage's End. Had it been pack 3 when you knew you inexplicably had no ways to trigger heroic, I'd take VE, but not in pack 2. P2P6 should probably have been Fate Foretold, too. It's a cantrip heroic enabler when you have only have two. I have no idea why these packs have absolutely no tricks though - clearly there aren't many people either direction in white heroic given the late Riders.

Match 1 was the UW mirror. I imagine he was trying to voltron up, but it never happened for him and I was able to outrace him.
Match 2 was UG with Kiora. He got her out game 1 but I managed to have enough flyers + the Aqueous form to kill her and win that game and 2 Gainsays coming in allowed me to win game 2 handily.
Match 3 was UR, meaning I faced blue in all 3 matches. He had a decent amount of removal to hold off my fast starts and a better long game with Shipbreaker Kraken and Sealock Monster to win 2 games to 1.
By pack 3 it was evident that my colors weren't very open, but I never really saw a great opportunity to jump out of them. Black looked very open at the end, but I saw no black of consequence in pack 1 - maybe the fact that the end of the pack saw so many playable black cards should have made me look a little harder to go into it on the assumption that black was just bad in that pack? That is certainly something that happens in BTT. Every time I was getting ready to jump to black or green I felt like I got a card good enough to stay on color. I'd love to hear if anyone has a place they would have jumped.
p1p3: is enlightenment good? I've only played it once and it seemed clunky and mana-intensive. Maybe chorus is better?
p1p4: excoriate makes a fine late-game top deck, especially when losing.
p2p2: obv, really? I think I value favorite hoplite higher. It wins game by itself sometimes, while VE is a great card, but only a tempo play.
p2p6: snare lets you push damage through, I tend to like them better than elder.
p2p9: I think I prefer elder over warden in a aggro deck, but they're pretty close anyway.
p3p1: you're deck sure has very few heroic enablers.
You got unlucky not getting any heroic tricks. Still, double mythics PW and a honest WU deck, not much to complain about!
One of the Helixes was a foil (the logging doesn't seem to log that). I of course took the foil one for value :P.
It's kind of a low floor/high ceiling card. Sometimes you get 2-for-1ed, sometimes you hit your Wingsteed rider with it 3 times and make it ridiculous. Granting flying is pretty nice too.
Yeah, I don't hate it, but I can almost always pick one up later in the pack - I actually think I value them higher than most.
Hoplite, by definition, does not win the game by itself, but I do agree it is a very good card. White blue just needs a way to answer though, and bounce is the answer it has, and Voyages End is cheap and it scrys. I'd almost always take it before Favored Hoplite personally.
I had 4 2-drops already, but in a vacuum I think I agree.
