I mostly just wanted to know what you guys think of the video in general as well as constructive criticism on my drafting. I'm uploading the rest of the videos right now too.
Video quality is good. Comments are poignant. I do wonder if the fact that this is your first video had you distracted because there was a pick or two that almost looked like you didn't see the whole pack.
As far as the draft goes:
I think p1p3 was a big whiff on Pain Seer. With the number of combat tricks and bestows available to allow him to attack (not to mention regenerating effects like Boon and Necrobite which tap and keep him alive) allow for some great enabling. Just playing him T2 on the play and getting an attack in makes him worth playing. People play Fleshmad Steed and Traveling Philosopher and this guy is much better than that.
The back-to-back Feldhide Brawlers seemed to be where this draft really went sideways for me. Not only do I think the picks were bad, but you went on to make picks in an attempt to make them playable (Deathbellow Raider over Purpherous Emissary in p3p1?!?!). Back-to-back Cyclopseses were the picks here in pack 1.
P3p3 you passed on arguably a top 5 common/uncommon in Keepsake Gorgon in favor of Lightning Strike. This was probably incorrect especially considering how heavy black you are at this point
Overall a pretty mediocre draft but the pack quality early wasn't great so it was hard to figure out what to be in. For future reference, you should still post your draftcap, deck, and match analyses. Not everyone has time to watch vids.
Thank you for the compliments on the video! Indeed, I did a practice one before this but that was it. I will post the picks next time I put a draft up, though. That does seem like a good idea.
As far as the draft goes, I recognize some of the picks were sketchy. I attribute that to me being very tired whole recording (you can hear my incessant yawning) and also, it actually takes up a lot of brain power for me to try to be constantly talking like that. I'm not only having to think of the pick, I have to think about what I'm saying.
Specifically, I agree I should have taken those two cyclops of one-eyed passes over the Felhide Brawlers. The brawlers are basically unplayable in most circumstances. Picking that Deathbellow raider over the Purphoros's emissary wasn't objectively wrong, though. I guess I just thought I'd get more support for it, which I didn't. Like an ordeal.
As for pain seer, I think that card is not as good as you make it out to be. The damage you can take is not insignificant, and that's after you have successfully untapped with it and everything. It is basically a 2/2 which the opponent is more likely to trade down to kill, which is pretty good. I still think that nyxborn wolf will be more consistently be great.
For the keepsake gorgon pick, I admit at that point my deck may have preferred it over lightning strike, but there is an argument that lightning strike is just a strictly a better card. The fact that I had the two magma jets already should have made me choose the gorgon though. In hindsight I agree with you.
One more pick was the eye gouge over necrobite. Necrobite is quite good in BTT and eye gouge is just, like I said, usually a sideboard card. I'm not sure why I did that pick. There's no question I would have palyed the second necrobite.
Anyway, thanks for the comments! I plan on recording more and hopefully becoming more comfortable with it.
Aaaaannnnddd the card I couldn't remember the name of was Kragma Warcaller

I disagree vehemently on this point. Keepsake Gorgon is arguably the best uncommon in the set running neck and neck with Phalanx Leader. If you had a p1p1 filled with garbage cards, Lightning Strike, and Keepsake Gorogon there is no way you could pick Lightning Strike. Shoot, I would jump ship to black on a p1p4 or p1p5 Keepsake Gorgon every time. It is too good and a sure fire signal.
