I'm willing to take Scout the Borders a little higher than usual given our rather dire mana fixing situation, but it's not really that great a fixer and I'd rather take the removal spell here: Bring Low.
We're catching up on playables, to the point where we can start picturing how this could come together: a GRub deck with okay removal and some good card-advantage plays. To get that deck to win games, we need: fixing, resilient threats, and early defensive cards (in that order, I think).
We should be able to pick up some decent early plays in the second half of this pack. As for the other two needs, let's see what we can pull together in pack three.
This pack has many nice low drops. From amongst them, I would take the parapet as it can give us a nice payoff if we splash black. Anyway, next pack will rotate the other way around, so we might not see the kind of black goodies this pack showed us.
Parapet. I like the idea of running this and Haruspex as our only "black" cards, as we can still play them without our black mana, and then get a late game boost when we get our Sultai Banner down.
Scout the borders. We're a four color deck with delve cards. I don't like scout the borders and don't pick it highly, but we're the right deck for it, and it's towards the end of the pack.
I don't like archer's parapet unless I've got black mana or toughness-matters cards. I'm not feeling it here.
Parapet. Even without black it's a big early roadblock, which lets us set up our game. And it's big enough to matter later, too. We can wait for some black to increase its power.
