Well, as someone who has made it to 1900+ probably 100 times, 1950+ like 20 times, 1980+ something like 5 times, and 2000+ zero times (and at this point I'll never make it, since I'm quite mediocre now), I can tell you that the jump from 1900 to 2000 is far from trivial.
Anyway, the rating often lags quite a bit. It'll show up, I bet.

Fair enough, like I said, I'm happy to admit if I come up short. I'll be happy to admit it.
I'll update my progress in this post in Spoiler Tags.
Off to a roaring start, lost my first RGD queue in the first round and lost 12 points to 1862
3-0 in the next draft, Rating was up to 1872 after the first two rounds, wouldn't update after round 3.
The Eidolons are way better than I thought they would be. I milled an opponent out one game just from recycling Enigma Eidolon and a 2/2 trades for enough value that getting it back multiple times is great.
RGD finally. I didn't draft a ton of it but I remember the usual strategy was to end up in a 3 color wedge/shard depending on what guild you start with in pack 1. Dimir leads you into either Esper (Dimir-Orzhov-Azorius) or Grixis (Dimir-Izzet-Rakdos), Boros leads you into Mardu (Boros-Orzhov-Rakdos) or Jeskai (Boros-Izzet-Azorius), Golgari leads you into Jund (Golgari-Gruul-Rakdos). Temur is not bad either if you don't end up in one of the other shards I mentioned as there's a lot more solid mono-color cards you can take in pack 1 that can lead you into this (the usual Civic Wayfinder, Galvanic Arc, etc) and you get some really good guilds in pack 2 as well as Simic which are often undervalued in pack 3.
Selesnya is awkward to start with because you don't really get a guild in pack 2 if your goal is to be only 3 colors. Probably the best you can do if you absolutely get cards that make you want to play a Selesnya inclusive shard/wedge is go Bant so you can take both Azorius and Simic cards in pack 3. And of course the fixing is excellent throughout the block so if you prioritize it highly enough you can easily splash a 4th or 5th color (which can be another way to make the Selesnya cards good).
RGD is where it's really at in my opinion. I just start every draft assuming I'll be at least 4 colors, and it works great. The best fixers are also card advantage, so you feel fine first picking them, and the other fixers present in huge density provide ramp. All 3 packs have such efficient removal and so much card advantage that playables aren't a problem, and there isn't really an aggro deck that can punish you (except for RG 1 drop blitz, which is usually the best deck in the pod if the other 7 people are all following convention wisdom).

I primarily play limited, so most of my spoiler season comments view cards through that lens.
I don't want to be a doubter but I will say I will be EXTREMELY impressed if anyone hits 1950 and I doubt anyone in the world, pros included, will cross the 2000 rating threshold in May.
Keep in mind when your rating is in the 1900s then when you win five a row and then lose in the finals, your rating DROPS. A 5-1 rating and you're not treading water, you're losing ground.
That being said, I'm looking forward to some TSP but I won't be able to draft it was much as MRD/RAV because I have this wedding and honeymoon thing planned for May.
Yuuya Watanabe has been known to hit the 2000s regularly (I know this from screenshots posted to Twitter on occasion). My personal best is 1993, which I hit during the previous round of TPF flashback drafts:I was already around 1900, and when TPF drafts began, I won 33 matches in a row.
So, Wizards picked a bad time to do Time Spiral drafts. Shadows over Innistrad is, in my opinion, WoTC's best limited set in years. But having it compete with the best limited format of all time (Time Spiral) just isn't fair. Time Spiral is limited perfection. IMO the only mistake card in the entire set is Storm Bind, and that appears at the frequency of like a modern day mythic, so it's not too bad or too likely to come up. I am still shooting for a 2000 rating, but am not starting from the from the lofty rating that I had hoped for. Still, I'm off to an early 9-1 start in the format, and people continue to have no idea what they are doing so I am still goign to try to make a run for it.
Obviously a long way off, still off to a good start.
Welp, ended up capping out at 1941. Went on a bit of a losing streak and had played so much Time Spiral I was burn out, so decided to use some of the play points I'd won to do a SOI League. Went 0-3 drop in that and my rating dropped down to 1850, and even if I was playing well enough I don't have the time nor inclination to try to make a run at it.
So, you guys were right, didn't get anywhere close to 2000. Still, I maintained a 1900+ rating for 3 weeks while playing constantly, which is pretty hard to do. I love time spiral.
