I'm curious as to what you're using to generate random seeds. I'm noticing an extreme amount of duplicate cards in every pool. While that doesn't necessarily indicate improper randomization, it does make me suspicious. I would expect there to be a fair amount of duplicates, but seeing multiple copies of the same rare in each pool seems odd.

Computers are very good at doing things the same way every time. They kinda suck at doing things at random. Still, I have worked on the randomizer quite a bit over the past year and it is pretty dang near the real thing. It first sorts the cards in one of 8 random methods, then it randomizes the list of sorted cards. Finally it generates a random number and selects the card from the randomized pool. Add to this that all of the random number generation is done through a mersenne twister. The one thing I am not duplicating is that booster boxes are not truly random. The rares at least come out in a specific order. That's why booster boxes can be mapped for valuable cards.
+1, nice work. I think a good practice with this is to create a 6-pack sealed pool and look at it--then create a NEW 6-pack sealed pool and figure out what you're deck will be. Anybody playing in the GPs will have to ship the first pool they receive to a different player.

Makes sense. I forgot that boxes actually follow a set pattern.

It could just as easily be replicating the sealed pool that is shipped to you.
I am paying the extra $25 for CFB to open my packs and give me my pool without me having to do a bunch of extraneous stuff.
I noticed that your 2HG is 12 packs. It looks like the recommended number is 8. Could you add an option to generate a pool with 8 packs? Or alternatively allow people to choose a number of packs?

Once again, I have put together a sealed pool generator. Get some practice for the MM2 sealed events near you. Here is a link:

As always, please let me know if you have any suggestions to improve the generator or if you notice any problems.

3rd Sealed! I hope I do this well at GP: Vegas!
I will do that today. Thanks for the idea.

I will add an 8 pack option. Thanks for the info.

As an amusingly corollary, it is more likely than not that someone at GP Vegas gets three of a kind on a mythic.
