I'm pretty perturbed by the fact that Waste Not got hardly any support for the sake of Limited, thereby making it feel like it was honestly just "thrown in" last minute.
I understand you can't have a whole lot of support for the rare, 'cause it's a rare and would be a bit silly to do so, but I really wish they had explored it a tad more, rather than have only three ways to make your opponent discard a card in the entire set, one of them being Mythic Rare.
Just a slight rant, I suppose.
i LOVE the spelled-out "these cards make a combo!" synergy of M12 (and M14), which is one reason i'm loving the obvious-synergy themes of M15 (ie "artifact theme! wall theme! tokens and convoke theme! exile mini-theme!").
the lack of synergy with Waste Not really is a bit of a disappointment. it's a bit of a wart on this beautiful core set that looks almost tailor-made for my love of spelled-out-synergy sets.

Raging Goblin He raged at the world, at his family, at his life. But mostly he just raged.
It's not usually too difficult to pick up a few Mind Rots, and if you pick a Waste Not it's possible to craft a decent UB control deck in which it fits without being too warping... a couple Black Cats, some fliers and a mess of Mind Rots. I don't think it'll be a great strategy, but if you also pick up some card draw and removal, it could be a pretty sweet deck.
What I like about this type of rare is that no one will hate draft it, so it will find its way to the drafter that it most rewards.
Of course, this is not a sounding endorsement of the card, I just think it's Not a Waste (take that, LSV!)
