It used to be that most enchantment removal was left in the sideboard but now with all the extra enchantments in journey into nyx, do you think cards like Revoke Existence are playable mainboard? Artisan's Sorrow even?
I usually would happily maindeck 1 enchantment removal spell in triple theros/BTT (esp the instant speed options). I expect I'll do the same in JBT to start.
They were playable filler in BTT, imo. Now you want at least one enchantment removal spell in your maindeck at all times, with a couple more in the sideboard just in case.
Before JOU I would happily main deck revoke existence or artisan's sorrow or even fade into antiquity in sealed. In draft it would depend on the speed of my deck, but I've never been unhappy to nuke some damned eidolon.
I was always happy to keep an Unravel the AEther in my mainboard whenever I drafted Green in BTT, or Revoke Existence in white. With JBT nearly upon us, those cards are even more useful now, along with the less efficient options.
Quite good, actually. With Born of the Gods/Theros you usually wanted at least one enchantment removal spell MD. Now, I usually went up to 2 after boarding since I found them to be good.
Feast of Dreams, in particular, is good - it hits enchantment creatures AND voltrons. I also saw someone use Consign to Dust as a sweeper... which is insane considering it's in Green (and it can really ramp towards large amounts of mana).
That may just be me, as I saw quite a number of Constellation-based decks at the prerelease, but I did love having more answers to enchantments.
I just got back from a prerelease where I went 3-0-1 (ID last round to go home) in WB with only the promo and deicide as the playable rares in those colors in my pool. Every time a drew deicide I was glad to have it. There are so many targets.
It's still the same as TTT and BTT for me. Main deck your best option, be ready to sideboard into another 1-2, but don't go crazy. There are a lot of targets, but even though JOU increased targets, heroic based decks are merely slowed by disenchanted effects. If they are still a large part of the format, multiple disenchant effects are effectively mulligans in many matchups.
Personally, I find that bounce is as good as ever and overall better than disenchant effects because the format still feels tempo/race/combat centric.
