I P1P1'ed Dauntless Onslaught, P1P2'ed Ordeal of Purphoros and was committed to making the Heroic Boros deck (passing up some really tough cards like Grey Merchant). But boy was I rewarded: P3P1 - Anax and Cymede, P3P2 - Wingsteed Rider, P3P3 - Wingsteed Rider, P3P4 - Dauntless Onslaught, P3P5 - Fabled Hero.
As expected got through first 2 rounds without resistance.
Round 3 - Played against Black Devotion/Red Heroes. Game 1 villain was able to get Ordeal of Purphoros and Ordea of Erebos onto a Fleshmad Steed and outpaced me. Game 2 my deck worked as expected and won on Turn 5.
Which brings us to game 3 which looked like this:
T1 - Plains
T2 - Plains, Phalanx Leader
T3 - Mountain, Fabled Hero
T4 - Mountain, Dragon's Mantle on Phalanx Leader, swing. Villain had an Arena Athlete, Blood-Toll Harpy, and Labyritnth Champion but chooses no blocks. I play Dauntless Onslaught. I didn't even realize this was lethal when I played it. But with the Blood-Toll Harpy, vilalin was at 19 and this was 19 damage. PWNED!
Playing Cube on MtGO, my freshly cast Wickerbough Elder is facing the opponent's Purphoros, God of the Forge across an otherwise empty board. He casts Koth of the Hammer and hits me with a Mountain for 4, pushing Koth to 4 loyalty. End of turn I "destroy" Purphoros and then untap and kill Koth.

EOT, I cast Retraction Helix on TFH, bounce the untapped feller, my turn: play fifth land, Bestow Thassa's Emissary all up on that triton and swing. Yay free Jace's Ingenuity!
Also just managed to put my opponent in the unlovable situation of opening himself up to a trick (one card in hand) while he had the win on the board next turn, or letting me draw an extra card.. topdeck Time to Feed ftw. What? Bluffing and topdecking is a skill....

Argh, today, I pwnd myself. Once again, thinking my opp will do the right thing to beat me, instead of letting him do it. The fact that it happened in a GPT semi-final rally hurt. I was at 10 life and my opponent had a stoneshock giant and anotehr creature and 8 mana. By going monstrous he'd kill me. He atatcked with both, so i virtually scooped. He told me he would *not* have gone monstrous for fear I'd have a bounce spell and kill him onthe return. Duh!
Oh well. Loss potential byes and FTV: 20.
(My deck was a sweet UG deck. 3x nyxborn triton, naiad, vaporkin, voyage's end, SGR, prophet of krupix, thessa emissary, nullify, ... )
My opponent did not know this. It did not go well for him....

Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.
What happened? He attacked with the Chimera and the spell fizzled? Or he was attacking with something else and you weren't blocking?

No he had just cast the Chimera, pre-combat, and attacked with one guy (something big, but I don't remember what it was). I Divined Verdicted and he took control of the spell giving me the Chimera. But the spell was already cast and there was only one target for it. He thought he could just decline to destroy the creature, but that's not how it works. I wasn't blocking it. So his guy still died and I ended up with the Chimera.

Perplexing Chimera is such a rewarding card for rules lawyers like myself. I was so happy to get one on my first FNM BTT draft. It makes the game state so complex that people are much more likely to make mistakes.
Drafted a pretty sweet RW heroic deck with Hero of Iroas, Skyguard, Akroan Conscriptor, and a good fast curve.
Round 1 ran into UB opponent whose deck was Phenax, Ashiock, double Asphyxiate, Sip of Hemlock, Mnemonic Wall, Returned Centaur, Guardians of Meletis, Voyages End, Black Oak, Gray Merchant. I've never been milled out so quickly.
In the final round, after drafting what I thought was a disastrous RW deck... this is me attacking on my 5th turn after a mulligan to 5.
Yep, that killed my opp alright.
Edit: here's the 2nd pwnd from earlier in the draft, winning the second match...
18 damages coming up! (There is a mantle activation on the stack that is not shown.)
You, sir, are everything I hate about Theros.

OK here goes hopefully I can remember everything
Last night at FNM
BTT format.
I am playing UG heroic and my opponent is playing RB aggro.
Game one I kept a slow hand and he punished me. Game two I curved out and he didn't have answer.
Game three winner plays in the final.
:'(... ok after an hour of trying I have decided I can't remember what happend well enough to give you a play by play.
basically I slowly attacked with a vapourkin while my opponent got me to 12-14 with a minotaur skullcleaver then played a staggershock giant.. which I griptided. that gave me the break I needed to draw and play a triton wavecrasher to block his tyramet the murderking but I was my only blocker and my opponent still got through damage I had to use my mana to griptide the giant again and took more damage down to a precairious 6. He attacked with Tyramet the murder king and skullcleaver. I flashed in Feral invocation onto my wavecrasher tapping his giant and killing the murderking. I fell to 4 my opponent sacced his creature to return the murderking after combat. I jumped back to 7 using Nyela's disciple to gain three. I start to swing back with more than just my vaporkin I use warriors lesson to preven the giant from attacking and draw two cards. Opponent at 8 life. However my opponent has murderking and can throw creatures at me until I die. my opponent plays murderking and the must attack minotaur. to survive next turn I need a top deck something to target the wavecrasher otherwise the giant untaps and kills me... I draw... savage surge! I can only do a max of 7 damage to my opponent with all my creatures attacking he has two blockers one which regens. I still have to work out if I can live. I attack he blocks wavecrasher and regens going to one. I savage surge the wavecrasher taping the giant. He is like ok so I go to one and win and I say.. "show me". Then he realises he he two mana short of monsterousing giant and throwing the two creatures he needs to to win and I win :D!.
Good news: You drew Prophet of Kruphix!
Bad news: Your opponent has a Nullify
Good news: You're holding Chromanticore!
Good news: With enough mana leftover to cast it!
Good news: With bestow!
Me 12 life, 1 Card in Hand (Lightning Strike) = Shrike Harpy (2/2) , Blood-Toll Harpy, Fleshmad Steed, Fate Unraveler
Opponent 9 life, 1 Card in Hand = Agent of the Fates, Reaper of the Wilds
Its my opponents turn and he casts Hero's Prowess on the Agent forcing me to sac the Fleshmad Steed. I move to Lightning Strike the Agent to prevent him from drawing 6 as both my Harpies are tapped, then realize that with Fate Unraveler he'll end up losing 6 life drawing the 6 cards. My opponent apparently forgot it as well and he drew his six before eating the Strike to the face.
My opponent did not know this. It did not go well for him....
I had a nice pwnage with Chimera recently. BTT. UB control mirror. Board was completely stalemated. We have a whole bunch of ground butts staring at each other. I was slowly beating down with a 2/2 flyer (with unblockable). He was swinging back with a 2/1 flying first strike, but I was ahead in life. He has Chimera. I've been sitting on Nimbus Naiad all game but can't play it as he'll just slap it on one of his bigger creatures and beat me in the air race. So I just keep playing 2/4s, which innocuously get ignored by Chimera. he plays guys. I play guys. I realize I have other spells that I can resolve through Chimera. Namely, Drown in Sorrow and Annul. He bounces my flyer, so I wipe his weenies and Annul his attempt to Nimbus Naiad. He keeps pausing, probably reading Chimera, frustrated.
He's got at least 1 Gray Merchant so I'm worried about letting him clog up the board too much. I've also got one somewhere, which is rendered dead by Chimera. I attempt to bestow Baleful Eidolon as bait. He lets it resolve, further clogging up the ground. I topdeck Hythonia the Wrath of Godful. Seems good. I attempt to Bestow Nimbus Naiad. He takes the bait and exchanges Chimera for it, changing the target to a 5/4 ground dork that would kill me in the air before I could cast and activate Hythonia. I Annul my own Naiad. Perfect, Chimera out of the way. He realizes he can't Gray Merchant now... I play Hythonia. He attempts to Retraction Helix in response to Monstrous and instead loses. Thanks Chimera!
Alright, this is partially good luck, partially a misplay on my opponents' part.
Finals of an 8-4, game 3.
Opponent chose to Asphyxiate an Elite Skirmisher with Ordeal of Helios and 2 counters (although he had a 4/3 blocker to nullify it) over a Daxos of Meletis (for which he had a 2/1 and 1/1 regenerates to block with). He stabilizes with Whip of Erebos and a couple creatures, in position to reanimate a 4/5 from his graveyard, but he will soon come to regret underestimating Daxos. As he stabilized, I eventually hit one of my several unblockable effects in the deck. Daxos goes unblockable, flipping a Reaper of the Wilds and scrying me into another unblockable effect while the lifegain nullifies his attacks. He's down to 8 at this point. He opts not to activate Whip or swing with his team into Reaper even though he would gain a bunch of life from it. I drop the 2nd unblockable effect on a 3/1, swing for 5 unblockable and flip Gray Merchant of Asphodel draining him for lethal...

Opponent has 3 creatures including a King Macar, the Gold-Cursed. He draws Godsend and equips it to Macar so he can finally attack with it. Next turn, I Harness by Force Macar and another creature, use Macar's inspired trigger to exile the third, and attack for the game.

1st game of 2nd round, my turns go:
T1 - Suntail Hawk
T2 - Festering Newt
T3 - Lifebane Zombie (taking Charging Griffin)
T4 - Mind Rot (he takes out the zombie with Chandra's Outrage before clearing his hand of Stonehorn Chanter & Show of Valor)

T6 - 1st main Serra Angel, attack, opp concedes

I'm on the play. My opponent has turn 1 Favored Hoplite and turn 2 Battlewise Valor. I play turn 3 Master of the Feast and then turn 4 Oakheart Dryads to buff the master. I attack with a 6/6 flying on turn 4 that dies to Aerial Formation and Ajani's Presence on the hoplite. I would not have expected that in draft and in sealed that was just insane luck.
