A split between BUG Control and Shardless BUG should probably occur. That said, we would need a Shardless BUG Primer as well.
For those of you not familiar, a basic primer format:
Primer
In some threads, you might notice something called a 'primer' in the opening post. Primers are an in-depth, opening post of the deck that's kept up to date, allowing people who aren't familiar to read through and get an understanding. Primers are highly suggested and normally have, but are not limited to, the following...
Introduction: Why this deck/idea? What's special about it? Why do you think it'll succeed?
Deck list(w/tags): You want people to know cards you're talking about, right?
Card Choices: Why did you pick the cards you did? What cards did you almost include, but didn't? What cards did you outright say 'NO' to, and why?
Strategy/Matchups: Any special synergy, or combos? How do you play the deck out against aggro, aggro/control, combo, etc? What's the battle plan, general?
History: How has the deck changed/evolved over time?
Record: How have you done? Any tournament reports, etc.
Please, please, please PM me and/or post in this thread before going all-in and writing up a primer. I'd love to see these come up, but I'd also rather not have 3 people working on a single primer individually and only have one posted.
Thank you for all your hard work in making the Legacy sub what it is today!
I am working on an update to Merfolks (now that I have time + TNN-era has solid data behind it).
I am willing to update Maverick if it's deemed necessary. Need to contact Zirath about this.
Team America thread should be rebooted. I wrote that a while back as a filler for someone else to hopefully step in. We should continue BUG Control (as control) and start a catch-all "BUG aggro" (as aggro) for BUG tempo/delver/thresh lists.

I mean, hell, we're all on a forum for something that most people would describe as a "children's card game"...do what makes you happy. You are never too old to enjoy yourself.

That would be great. The Maverick primer is pretty far outdated (has no information with the Black splash, etc). Zirath has been a bit inactive as of late, but I can send a message and see if he's down with a new primer going up.

I think the biggest issue with BUG as a whole is establishing where it all needs to go. Does BUG Control really exist anymore? Do we establish different threads for Shardless and Delver? How do we set it up? (Genuinely looking for input here)
@zirath: yes we should both try to contact him. I know him in real life but don't have his personal info so I'm limited to PM's.
@BUG control: yea it's a thing. been seeing it online especially in recent testing
@BUG aggro: yes, this needs to be figured out. It's a part of the format like Jund takes BG and adds red. BUG aggro is a smaller sliver of BG but runs a lot of blue alongside. As you mention we have shardless agent cascade/tempo BUG as well as BUG delver. Now and then there's BUG thresh (some now rocking TNN).

i just started going through this forum yesterday to look for a BUG delver primer, it took me a while to find where people where talking about BUG delver, (in the back of the team america list. not only that, but the primer hadnt been updated since 2010, when most of the core cards (delver, deathrite, abrupt decay) didnt exist. i would love to see a primer for this archetype (i would offer to start one, but i have no where near enough knowledge of the deck to do it justice.)
also, is there a reason why tempo isn't a category for primers? it seems weird to be arbitrarily splitting decks such as UWR delver, BUG delver, 4c delver, RUG delver, esper stoneblade etc into wither aggro and control when in reality, they switch back in forth on a game to game and matchup to matchup basis.
We're looking for people to volunteer to help write or update primers for the decks in our Established sections. Right now, the ones in desperate need are:
Combo Elves- Completed by Dice Bag. Thanks!Imperial Painter
MUD / Forgemaster Combo
Sneak and Show
UR Painted Stone
The Rock
Goblins
Mono U Control
Additionally, there's a slew of primers that haven't been updated in 2+ years. Many of these could use an update as well.

I am working on a Budget Elves primer and will move onto Painter when I am done.

If you want to put up a new one, that's great! Just let me know when/if you do.

I haven't edited it but the content should still be relevant. Here's the link: MUD Primer
Thanks for spiderboy4 of High~Light_Studios for the kick ass avatar.
Thanks for DarkNightCavalier of HotPS for the exceptional signature.

I'm working on, and have almost completed a DDFT primer. Hopefully some other people step up and start to rejuvenate this place.
