Yeah, can we do something about the loser bracket? I'm waiting for one match to finish, then there's so many remaining. And another point to the completely botched tournament structure: Dyne played three matches, as did I, but he's 2 rounds ahead, effectively giving him 2 byes.

This has nothing to do with brackets; it is totally dependent on how long people take.
The structure's weird format has to do with the number of players. Next time I'm going to cap it at 32 so there will be no byes. However, I will still do Elimination since the bracket does run more smoothly (probably just single elimination that time though). If problems persist, I will switch back to Swiss.
Continually griping about the structure being messed up for a no prize tournament is not going to fix it. I can't offer you a solution right now without being forced to start over but I do not want to do Swiss brackets because I have done it multiple times online and it is not reliable if people are not committed to sitting in one place for a few hours.
I'll bug the unfinished matches at the end of this week (tomorrow night) and try to get it moving.
I contacted my opponent Realize yesterday(before noon) and I still haven't heard from him yet and it's been more then 10 hours.
I also wouldn't mind at all playing for more then several hours in one day for a tournament, just as long it's scheduled ahead of time. I am not sure about anyone else but it's entirely fine to me.

I would love to do this. Maybe it is something we can try in the future.
I have PM'ed bone_doc earlier in the week. He messaged back the other day but then disappeared. I have sent multiple PM's and still have no response. I'm not sure if he's just busy or what....but unfortunately we're holding up the event to some degree. Apologies for both of us (not blaming just the opponent). Hopefully things resolve.
EDIT: bone_doc says he will drop. Just got a PM this morning
I mean, hell, we're all on a forum for something that most people would describe as a "children's card game"...do what makes you happy. You are never too old to enjoy yourself.

Yep, certainly, I mean magic-league has like a swiss rounds master tournament like every two weeks unless it's an invitational master then it's like 4 weeks or so from the last masters tournament(Their master tournaments range from all kinds of competitive formats too). There are alot of people on there that would be willing to spend one day at the computer playing 7+ hours of magic. However, the reason why I mentioned this is because in general the people on here are much nicer then the people on magic-league. (Yeah, there are ton of jerks on magic-league.)
Not saying I actually mind playing on magic-league since I've played on there alot before and probably will play on there in the near future as well but I just like playing in a more friendly environment.
Also, my opponent Realize still hasn't contacted me yet but I'd like to play as soon as possible, it doesn't matter if I win or lose, I just don't like holding other people up.
timezones are a huuge mistake in this tourney. We should stick with a certain timezone and get games played at resonable times. Either Pacific or Easten time because they are so close together (3 hour dif). Like I am trying to work out with my opponent on a good time but I am not prepared to stay up to odd hours just to satisfy his time zone diffrence. It is something that should have been considered alot more.

Or maybe you should've thought of that before signing up?
As you can see, even on the first page, you could've realized people were signing up who were not located in North America.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt as you probably haven't participated in one of these events before, but this happens, and it is your and your opponents responsibility to find a time to play each other.
Or you or your opponent can drop, simple solution.
FYI, ignoring non-North American players because YOU don't like to schedule around time zones, is a little asinine.
csoda201 won out 2-0 against me. Bad play on g1 hurt me, g2 just couldn't find that 2nd land fast enough.
And hopefully the wait won't be that bad for my next match (have to wait on 2 other games to finish). I'll pm the winner of the preceding match that day/next day to work out a time.
Arranged to play with Lord_McDonalds but the server has gone down for a couple of hours. Hopefully things resolve. We DO have a playtime agreement (worst case Sunday tomorrow). Hope the server can adjust accordingly.

Just got to say, you've definitely earned distinction as an MTGS hero

You couldn't let me do the final blow, could you.
Great games 1 and 2, game 3 was more a question of who would draw colors first. I did.
