Off topic - Is Lands our best matchup? I just beat another Lands player, keeping me undefeated versus the deck, PoP seems to be just too much for them.
Played it with my opponent at 2 life, he sacked all five of his lands with Zuran Orb, in response Fireblast. Don't think he was too happy because G2 he scooped to Smash to Smithereens on his Ensnaring Bridge turn 4 with me having a Guide and 2 Devils in play.

Lands is a white deck that runs ET and Zuran Orb in the main, and should be running COP: Red in the sb. I'm kinda surprised you find it so easy. I haven't played vs Lands in a while, but I distinctly remember casting 15 Lightning Bolts in one game and still losing. Loam+Zuran+Manabond =

Orb isn't hard to beat, even with Chasms. Just let them sac Chasms, then when they Loam, play Price. They sit there for a second... then realize they just took 70 damage and say GG.
I'd say lands has favor over burn - unless you happen to get a lucky amount of PoP, or you SB well against it (Red Elemental Blast, Blood Moon, etc)
Now I know most people probably 'won' versus lands and hardly ever or maybe never lost.. however, lands is one of the hardest (if not the hardest) deck to play in legacy. If played right, it's top tier. If played incorrectly, a casual deck can own it...
Also, 97% people who play lands on cockatrice (or similar programs) are just 'trying the deck out'. I doubt they own a tabernacle.
I hate to lower everyone's confidence (mine included!), but just because we get a win vs lands, doesn't mean much.. unless they know how to use their deck and they're a good player.
Speaking of Fallouts and Vortexes, how many people run 3-drops in the maindeck? Or are people gravitating towards Yost-style 1s and 2s? With all the Batterskulls, Jittes and Griselbrands out there, I rather like the idea of a couple maindeck Vortexes.

I think Vortex is a necessary 3-of on the sb. I usually only run one fallout and another on the side. Vortex is so clutch. It wins game that are otherwise impossible.
Ae are all in agreement that Burn is easy to hate out. This is [partially] what we have sideboards for. I think it would be useful to make a list of all the things people use to hate out burn, and figure out good ways to build the SB or adjust your maindeck accordingly.
These are the cards I've personally run against Burn or had played against me, and my the choices I see to deal with these things
Everything - Nevinyrral's Disk, [almost] Chaos Warp, technically Ratchet Bomb, but I wouldn't rely on this for anything above 2cc, and even then it's bad against anything with artifact removal.

I personally don't like SB answers that cost 4, but I realize that they can be useful. Of the 4 drops, I think Disk has the most utility by far, but it's easy to play around, and your opponent gets a chance to destroy it before you can use it.

3 grave hate, currently Faerie Macabre
If someone wants to add this to the Primer (or tell me how to), it's been referenced quite a few times, and Is fairly easily updating if any new questions or answers arise.
EDIT: Actually, with the rise of OmniTell and Miracles and the fall of Reanimator and Sneak 'n' Show, I think I'd adjust my SB accordingly:
It's worth nothing that I run 3 Volcanic Fallout MD, as well as 2 Sulfuric Vortex, because that's what my meta calls for. If you don't have access to either of these cards MD, you'd probably to find room for them in the sideboard. Same with the 4th Price if you only run 3 MD, et cetera.

Urdjur mentioned this idea a while ago but planning for a tournament myself this sideboarding method seems really simple and fool proof. Here is my go at it!
By taking the standard mancer/fetch build and shaving out a flame rift (imo the worst card in the deck) its makes the use of this sideboarding style quite well. Nearly every sideboarding in/out would begin with the removal of flame rift. Also, by removing the flame rift it made room for 2 maindeck Sulfuric Vortex. This strengthened the deck by giving the main deck 6 responses to possibly the most common of life-gain, equipments, via Grim lavamancer & Sulfuric Vortex

This is a very rough game plan of how I would sideboard vs some of the top decks. Any comments questions and hopefully some suggestions would be much appreciated!!

Well what I see is that it draws removal and is not for sure damage Keldon Marauders is. Granted its ability can hurt stoneforge decks and dredge, a player is always going to play around it and wont take that 3 damage just because it helps you get closer to killing them.
With a snapcaster mage in hand the question becomes do I take 3 now and remove him or do I take 2 and then dig for removal.
To decide if he fits we really have to look at what hell be replacing. The cards currently in this slot are - Hellspark Elemental, and Keldon Maraduers. Keldon is going to do 2 every time but sometimes 5 over 3 turns. This card can will most likely get 2 out of itself but if it sticks around for 3 turns like marauder it will doat least 6. Thing is people usually dont waste removal on marauders cause there isn't a reason if u can chump block. This creature screams remove me.
I love the first strike it lets you pair it with a lightning bolt or a lava mancer or pretty much anything to ruin batterskulls day. (I like the lava mancer idea more since its consistently going to be fed spells and lands in the GY).
Also alot of talk around vexing devil was about the fact that he needs other creatures around him to make him really good, do I use removal on vexing devil or on this new 2/2. (Hopefully this is a harder question that it seems at first glance)
I think this creature might actually replace a spell rather than a creature. Austin Yost is currently running 4x Goblin Guide, 4x Vexing Devil, and 4x Grim Lavamancer. Do we take the creature count up to 16? If we do does Reckless Abandon become a better choice then flame rift?
I guess my question here is what do you drop from your list for this creature and how many of her do you run.
It's pretty strong, I look forward to reading the responses when I wake up.
^I'm with this guy.
Honestly, I think I'm a little too drunk/tired to properly evaluate this card at the moment. But a 2/2 with First Strike and Haste for 2CMC is pretty good, plus its triggered ability hates on Past in Flames from Storm decks, Cabal Therapy and Dread Return from Dredge, and Snapcaster Mage, plus a few other cards I'm forgetting. As far as I can tell in my current state, it's definitely worth consideration. Will be looking out for others' input by the morning.
It would be a sideboard card just for the ability, but the Haste and First Strike really make it appealing for the main. Like Keldon Marauders, it is almost guaranteed to deal two damage, but the ability gives it amazing staying power. Snapcaster Mage becomes worse, and Past in Flames goes from a guaranteed win to a suicidal coin flip.

you guys are forgetting that this dude walks over Lingering souls as well:
Wanna block me? Fine, I kill both tokens and survive!
Wanna flashback? Ops, take that bolt first... *-*
I guess RDW style decklist are going to rise more... and BOROS guild isn't out yet... (that is the guild from which I would have expected to see a similar creature, but hey, I won't dig the fact they gave it to us as mono red :D)
I need to preorder those...
Should order your plateaus before they are expensive too haha
The way I see it, we have to analyze it as a 2/2 first strike haste. The ability is just lingering souls/snapcaster hate.
The main problem I've come to with it is that it's not an optimal turn 2 play, when you can be playing Lava Spike + Devil + attacking with Guide for 11 damage in two turns as opposed to only 6 damage in two turns. In a deck with only 20 lands, not having a Mountain turn 3 in this scenario can hurt our chances of winning.

This is a very rough game plan of how I would sideboard vs some of the top decks. Any comments questions and hopefully some suggestions would be much appreciated!!
You should be careful w/ the Miracles matchup w/ taking out flame rifts, because some players who choose to hate out storm, burn, will play Hexproof leylines in the SB over the usual Moat/Humility for aggro.
I feel reasonably confident about the main deck, not sure whether I should cut Keldon Marauders for Grim Lavamancer. I feel that the Grim Lavamancer route would be too slow in a blind meta, and would be counter-productive with Volcanic Fallout. The only other choice I need to make is which way the 3/2 split of Volcanic Fallout/Sulfuric Vortex I have in the maindeck.
Also have started to go with 8 fetchlands, picking Arid Mesa and Scalding Tarn, because I can't afford the $40+/pop the card shops charge for Bloodstained Mire/Wooded Foothills here. I feel that I can get away with the lifeloss, and it is still good using them in lieu of Grim Lavamancer, as Stifle isn't around.
My sideboard is a complete stab in the dark as to what the meta will be like. I'm not confident in my playing skills to use cards like Pithing Needle, as I haven't been playing much in this meta. I think that Pyrostatic Pillar could be cut down to 3 in the sideboard, replacing it with either another Faerie Macabre or Smash to Smithereens if I figure out a little bit more about the decks in the tournament.
If anyone has advice for someone who hasn't played a live Legacy tournament in 6 years, (and has only played online again due to the current Legacy tournament organised by Zirath); then it will be appreciated. (I was playing more up until 2009, and gave up due to the lack of a Legacy scene in New Zealand.)
I'll be writing a tournament report afterwards, most likely about my imminent 0-2 ragequit.
I'm droping Keldon Marauders for Ash Zealot because the graveyard ability would kill combo/control, and that he has haste and first strike!... (I feel like this is a dream, the last time I've seen a 2cc 2/2 creature with haste was with echo... I'm also wonding about the red/black hybred guy (so far we dont know what he is but my gut is telling me he is going to be good)
and with all these 'good creatures' I do think we might get another good burn spell (an uncountable bolt please)
I'm wondering if Ash Zealot makes burn playable in type 1... I've not touched type 1 in years but I could see players cursing that guy.
