are there any general guides concerning what to sideboard against which decks? I mean not exact card for card exchanges, but general tips on what cards are bad against which matchup. Can I kinda transfer things from modern jund to legacy jund, like e.g. Liliana is bad against elves (because many creatures) or Abrupt decay is bad against infect (because it can't kill inkmoth) and so on? Or am I on a complete wrong path here?
Sort of. Abrupt Decay tends to be a bit more useful in Legacy than in Modern though. Besides delve creatures, there's not much that gets too big for it, and it's super important against Miracles. Rakdos Charm and Golgari Charm are far more relevant in Legacy than in Modern as well. I don't know. I guess I learned a lot stuff just jamming games.
One odd thing I've noticed is that no one plays Terminate. I like it because it kills fat things (Gurmag Angler, Reanimator targets not named Emrakul, etc.). I only play 1 or 2 depending on I think is going on around me, but it's never been outright bad. This decks plays a lot of 2-CMC cards as it is. I just tossed in another.
@chaos21: alright, will keep that in mind, thank you! Its true that playing games is probably the best way to learn stuff, espeically sideboarding. Terminate seems like a decent card in my opinion, its odd why it doesn't see play, but I guess most of the relevant stuff can be hit by decay, and being uncounterable could be the factor which matters more. Legacy is really counter heavy I guess, since most competitive decks run blue.
@Dissidiaanatheme: Thanks for your tips! Man, chains seems so good, don't wanna spend that much many on a card just yet :/ but maybe one time.
Gonna build my SB plan with your tips in mind, they are indeed very helpful!
Couple questions concerning gameplay for you guys: Say I am on the play and I have either the option of casting Thoughtseize or Death rite shaman on turn 1 against an unknown opponent, what should I play?
And also, if I am in that same situation, except I am on the draw and my opponent has just put a fetchland into play (and its indicating blue clearly, like Scalding Tarn or Polluted Delta or whatever), what do I play? Do I play anything actually? I am asking because from videos I have seen, I realized that in Legacy, players have to even carefully watch out when exactly to fetch, because of stuff like Stifle. Is this a card you would play around? (preboard as well as postboard) I would assume most of the time you still go for a play, and if yes, same question like above, TS or DRS first?
Alright, DRS on the play and TS on the draw as a general guideline, seems good! Thanks for your tips.
Right now I only need 4 Grove of the Burnwillows, otherwise the deck is complete and ready to punish them all
On chains, I will not buy it for now, thats for sure, I'll see if my meta contians many Combo/brainstorm decks or not and then see what I can do against them. Maybe chains is also not what I need in that case, like you said.
So I think this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find the answer.
I'm getting ready for GP Louisville and feel there are three decks you will likely see a lot of and those are Miracles, DnT, and Eldrazi. I think I'm fine against the first two (especially against DnT after adding a Kolaghan's Command MD to give me 2 answers for Prelate on 2 in the main deck and 2 answers in the side), but Eldrazi has always been a bad match-up.
I am willing to dedicate 3 pieces in my SB to help against Eldrazi, but don't have a lot of answers. So far I've thought about Meekstone (which doesn't work well with our creatures) and Consuming Vapors since it doesn't target, sacs multiple creatures, and gains us life. The problem is it's 4 mana, but I'm leaning towards it right now since it also doubles against fatty creature decks although things like Sneak Attack and EoT Marit Lage still dodge.
Tribute to hunger is cheaper and instant speed, but I wonder if it's worth waiting for one more mana to get two sacs and two life gains?
At the same time, I wish we could splash for Crackling Doom since it would get their Reality Smashers without targeting and it costs three mana. It's not out yet, but I wonder if Fatal Push will make its way in since it can kill TKS?

Still, your best bet will be Blood Moon, how unsynergistic that might be in combination with our manabase.
Huh. I hadn't thought of Big Game Hunter or Shriekmaw. I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but does targeting Reality Smasher with Shriekmaw's ability count as a "spell" in that we have to discard? I think the answer is yes, but it would be nice if the answer were no.

Chaos21 is correct and you stated the reason yourself; it's an ability of a creature, not a spell. Such things work on Emrakul as well for the same reason. I don't know that Emrakul gets any play in Legacy, but she does in Modern.
Since cards like Consuming Vapors are under consideration for the Eldrazi MU, seriously why is Damnation no option against Eldrazi in Legacy? Is it just because it kills your DRS as well? Is it really that bad?
It's not really that bad, but what else do you want that against, and more importantly, what are you bumping from your sideboard for it? I will say I would prefer cheaper, instant speed answers regardless. Thought-Knot Seer has a way of messing up sorcery speed plans.
Yeah sure, its applications are very limited, but say you have a very heavy eldrazi infested meta. TKS catching Damnation certainly is a problem though, thats true.

This is not the nicest answer, but if your meta is filled with Eldrazi, you shouldn't be playing Jund. I've learned to accept my bad match-ups like Eldrazi and Burn. Doesn't mean we shouldn't have something in the SB, but if your meta is filled with a bad match-up where you are very likely to face it multiple times and your goal is to win then you should switch decks that are favored against said match-up instead. It's more efficient and probably less frustrating.
If the room is filled with Fair Blue, then Jund (and Shardless BUG) is the right choice.
What's everyone's thoughts on Fatal Push for Jund? I've been running BUG Aluren recently to take a break from Jund, but have preordered a set for another deck.
Isn't that only relevant when metagame is all about fair decks? Show and Tell, Miracles, Reanimator, Lands and a slew of other decks couldn't care less how much creature removal you're running.
Pretty sure you want a critical amount of turn 1 answers to deathrite shamans right now, there are A LOT of em. "losing" the drs war in midrange mirrors is real rough. Push does that while also answering bigger threats. I'm not sure what my ratio of bolts/push will be but I'm gonna start out with 4 total mb.
I don't think it's worth 4 in the MB. In fact, I was only going to try two in the SB. I think it's nice because it hits up to Thought-Knot Seer.
I think fatal push is probably better in decks that don't have access to bolt. I would personally add more bolts before fatal push.
Between lightning bolt, punishing fire, abrupt decay, and Liliana I never am thinking that I need more cheap removal. What I AM looking for is something that kills big eldrazi creatures efficiently.
I would play fatal push for sure in a straight G/B deck. Maybe this card makes those types of decks more viable?
