So I've been testing a GBw with Pod and I really like it. Dungrove Elder is pretty sweet, though I'm really tempted to add a Primevial Titan or something. Hermit doesn't really cut it as a win-con for me and sometimes I will have a marvellous board but can't draw into a win-con.

Wouldn't Grave or Sun Titan be a better idea considering you are ramping with Veteren Explorer anyway?
I'm trying to write up a GBW list, but I'm either running out of slots, or not playing enough lands.
Oh yea, what do you guys think of Yosei, The Morning Star in the deck? We have ample sack outlets, and one Yosei activation can do nasty things (and being able to loop it just sounds fun).
Someone mentioned Yosei and Kokusho as options over Titans to combo with Moat. While I'm not opposed to big finishers with evasion, I worry about facing white decks. If they exile a Titan, it already did something. If they exile a dragon...
And yes, I do agree that Primeval isn't needed. No matter how a Titan hits the board, it's late enough in the game that land is no longer an issue. Bringing back a Witness, Deed (or a fetchland, if you really want to) or putting 10 power on the board is much better than having a trampler.

Thrun is the GSZ tutorable finisher. And honestly you should get there with four 2/2's from the Hermit if you grab that. I do have to ask what you're playing against that you find yourself at 7/8 mana and still needing to have GSZ find you a guy to close out the game.
Edit: Has anyone tested Strangleroot Geist? It seems like it could be solid with the Therapy/Nightmare/Pod core while putting on pressure vs. Wall of Blossoms which gets you the extra card and sits there.
9 power for 5 mana?? but you have to pay the echo...or it is 5 mana for 4 power..or 10 Mana for 9 Power with the echo...or am i getting something wrong?
and you have to pay the echo even when you get him with the Pod. or am i wrong?
I feel that Reveillark is better than everything you listed besides Hermit. Getting back any two of Witness/Pridemage/Shredder/Metamorph/Ooze/Hermit/Wall provides so much value and fodder.

Well, the idea was to fetch a flyer and I was going to try bant colors, but maybe I'll try black. I haven't play deranged hermit yet. I would hate to pay the echo.

Thats why the best play is using pod on rector to get hermit+nightmare. When you got at least 3 more mana you have 8 2/2 tokens until your next upkeep. During your next turn just don't pay echo and instead bring the hermit back by saccing one of the squirrels, netting you 11 token of which 7 are reday to beat face.

Exactly right on this one. One of my "go-to" win-cons is this scenario.

Though maybe Dungrove Elder is fine in that role and then I'll play Grave Titan too...
Edit: Avenger of Zendikar could be really evil...

It's an updated version of Brawl into an epic, new game.

1. Hermit
2. Karmic Guide
3. Bloodwitch
4. Kodama
5. Baneslayer
6. Plaguelord
Those are mine. I still think Hermit is a BEAST!
