I wont argue how good vial is; its actually one of the cards that brings this deck together. But i think it deserves some thought the fact that it could be sided out. Im not really fond of the "this card doesnt get sided out because it is too good" kind of thought.
While I understand the sentiment, Delver decks don't side out Brainstorm, Miracles doesn't side out Sensei's Top and we don't side out Vial. It is the glue that holds this deck together and, as other have said, either an opponent will answer it or the Vial will give us tremendous value. I can see the Jund argument, yes, but it is the only matchup where siding out a Vial is worth considering--though I would only cut one if I was going to.

@SwordsToTimeshares: Funny how I thought about the same thing when I was theorycrafting a bit yesterday. As far as the online meta is concerned, people are currently shifting away from Elves and more towards UR Delver and Infect, which both lack juicy Revoker targets. Running the numbers, Spirit seems overall more useful in more matches compared to Revoker on MTGO right now. Since I don't want to go below 2 Avengers/4 Flickerwisps, Revoker could be a potential candidate to move 1 copy to the sideboard.
@redtwister: I haven't tested Resto yet, but given it's immunity to AD and being bolt-proof, I can see some advantages, aside the extra utility it provides.
How about the following creature configuration? I think it looks kinda sexy with the current meta fluctations:
A 4th Revoker can be packed into the board, maybe even a 4th Spirit, who knows.
I'm currently debating whether I want a 4th Spirit or a 4th Kor Firewalker since I want to test this configuration the upcoming week. Has anybody data on how good Firewalker is the UR Delver match-up?
@SwordsToTimeshares
Removing a Revoker seems better the more I think about it. It really does overlap in some key matches with the cards we really, really need. I think you just made what is really the biggest "core creatures" innovation in a while.
So then do we put it in the side or keep in the Pithing Needle? I don't want to side both of them, honestly.
@Barook
I have loved Resto when I can resolve it, but vial at 4 for 1-2 creatures is rough and some games 4 mana is awfully hard to come by and that Angel will sit dead in your hand. Despite those two caveats, when she lands she hands out the beats and doesn't stop (refrains of "Measure by measure, drop by drop/And pound for pound, we're taking stock/Of all the treasure still unlocked/The love hate You found must never stop" in my head.)
I know this will sound entirely stupid to most of you, but I played with 3 thalia in the main and 1 in the side for SCG Worcester. It definitely seemed fine all day. In matches that I felt I wanted the 4th I brought it in. With elves being such an issue I would rather have the 4 revokers game 1 compared to the 4 thalias. UR delver wasn't too much of an issue regardless, but I did switch out 1 revoker for a thalia in that match up.
I'm putting my money where my mouth is this weekend. I'm driving up to Philly for Eternal Weekend, where I'll be running the Dust Bowl and triple Restoration Angel build. Unfortunately I've been (and still am) sick, so I haven't jammed quite as many games as I wanted to against some of the configurations of old decks that now incorporate Cruise. I 3-0'd my weekly Legacy event tonight, and got a blowout against Merfolk, Infect, and Manaless Dredge with the angel.
@SwordsToTimeshares
Removing a Revoker seems better the more I think about it. It really does overlap in some key matches with the cards we really, really need. I think you just made what is really the biggest "core creatures" innovation in a while.
Ha if you say so. Truth is, Revoker wasn't always a 4-of. 2 1/2 years ago before Miracles was a thing, and you could legend-rule a Jitte with your own, and RUG Delver was huge, you could run 2-3 Revokers main and do well. Once all of those things changed, he was that concessionary, "Yea OK, better run a playset now."
Now, I probabaly keep all 4, post-board, against Miracles, Elves, Deathblade, Sneak Attack, Maverick, and Tendrils Storm, maybe another I'm forgetting. But not the majority of top 20. To add to it, in some of those 6 or so matchups, given the choice of which two-drop to lay down, Revoker is not ahead of the pecking order of Thalia, Spirit, or Teeg. Keep in mind running Teeg probably affords you this luxury to drop a Revoker in the first place by at least a little. A 3-Revoker opening hand that is just keepable enough so you keep it, only to find out you're up against RUG or UR Delver, Burn, or Lands... *shudder. A huge reason why no one usually touches 4 Mom, Mystic, and Thalia is because they are never truly "dead" in any blind game 1. Thalia can still hold back a Glimpse of Nature a turn, Mystic can speed up your clock once you're somewhat stabilized against Sneak Attack or Storm, and Mom, well... every deck besides Affinity and MUD are held back by her somehow. Even Affinity might run some Metalcraft spot removal.
Against Merfolk, I used Restoration Angel to ambush two attacking creatures, pushing me far ahead.
Against Infect, my opponent went for what he believed to be a safe attack while an Ethersworn Canonist was in play. I flashed Restoration Angel in, generating two blockers, blocked two Inkmoths, and won on the swing back on my turn. Restoration Angel was too high impact for him to answer it with only a single card.
Against Manaless Dredge, my opponent attacked with two creatures, seeing no blockers that could result in the death of one of my creatures. My Restoration Angel blinked a Spirit of the Labyrinth, which when it died, exiled his two Bridges. Since a Thalia was in play, that was an especially savage blowout, as the Bridges were the only way he could potentially generate any card advantage.
@Frenadol Here's the [link](http://www.topdeckgamesonline.com/championships) to the event page. I don't know if there is a stream, but I expect it to be about the size of an Open or small GP in terms of attendance.
Yes! It will be on twitch.tv/cardtitan as well as on the Mothership. Randy Buehler, BDM, Chris Pikula, and Bob Maher will be doing the commentary.
Looks like it will be pretty big. Wish you the best of luck Medea, and make Restos a staple of the deck so that all this theorycrafting in the past year bears fruit at last! What is you sideboard gonna be? And the 2 flex creature slots? Still SotL?
If you top 8 with 3 restoration angels, I will play every single version of the deck you play (and I won't play spellskite) for a year. (I don't mean this as an insult, more of a friendly wager)

Commission Rezombied to alter some cards, he's awesome!
If your opponent saw none of your creatures would die, why did he attack? How did blinking a Spirit of the labyrinth kill it?
Manaless Dredge doesn't want the opponents creatures to die because in doing so Bridge from Below will be exiled. The Dredge player probably saw a tapped Spirit of the Labyrinth, a Thalia, and w/e with First Strike/Toughness greater than 2 and felt safe attacking with Zombie tokens. Flashing in a Restoration Angel, blink/untapping Spirit of the Labyrinth provided a low value 3/1 to trade off with a Zombie token and stifle Dredge's ability to generate substantially more attackers (Exiling whatever copies of Bridge).
Unless I make any changes in the next 24 hours, this is what I intend to play. I considered putting in a second Sunlance or an Absolute Law in the sideboard, but I couldn't quite justify cutting anything else.
How has your build been testing against Delver variants and Elves?
Against UR Delver, testing in game one scenarios has been relatively positive. Going big with the Restoration Angels has allowed me to have a profitable blocker against both Swiftspear and Delver. Dust Bowl is a beating, as that deck only plays 7 mana producing lands, 5 of which are non-basic. I will say that Forked Bolt has been a beating against me, as when they get the two for one with it, it's hard to catch up from that position. Treasure Cruise is obviously insane, but a Spirit backed up by a Mom goes a long way towards crippling this deck. I haven't gotten to play as many post-board games, so I won't comment on those other than to say that Ratchet Bomb is the nuts here and that Price of Progress out of the side hurts a little bit more than in my other version with 12 Plains.
Against UWR Delver, I've only played games without the Restoration Angels since Treasure Cruise was printed. I lost both of my sets in the IQ I played in to UWR Delver playing a more traditional 75. This matchup is much harder than it used to be, but the games were all very close, and if my opponent didn't hit a large number of "runners" in a row, I could have easily taken one of the sets.
Against Elves, we are not favored pretty much no matter what we do. The three Spirits in the main have been fantastic, but the three Restoration Angels and one land get cut in the post-board games for more pro-active, hateful cards.
Why Restoration angel versus running a more proactive card like Brimaz? Also if burn shows up in large numbers would Kor Firewalker be solid in the SB?
I, too, get curious about Resto Angel, but the biggest thing that stops me from using it is that its ability's value is predicated on saving a creature of your own. Something like Linvala, on the other hand, has an ability not contingent on maximum value being obtained by responding to removal or "untapping" a creature to block. You just get it out asap.
My question to Resto true believers is, how often are you holding back your angel for max value? If the 3/4 flyer is usued mostly as a reset to Revoker, or perhaps getting another Mystic trigger, I gotta say, Linvala seems to have more intrinsic value. Sell it.
I agree about Absolute Law, there are far better cards. I think that because Burn is a real deck, I am running 2 Kor Firewalkers. Also due to the fact I could face BUG or Jund I think having 1 Mirran Crusader is good in the SB. I am a fan of spicing up the Sideboard to be able to handle different decks. I was considering Gut Shot, but my friend suggested running Celestial Flare to deal with TNN. I have played D&T but have long time been a RUG, Jund, and Threshold player. I think restoration is not proven and its better in the Modern versions of the deck. I do agree that if anything Linvala would be best. What are people's thoughts on Brimaz?
What are people's thoughts on Restoration Angel versus something else?
@Golgari4Life I think there's a good 50-100 pages of discussion around the questions of Celestial Flare/Council's Judgement, Gut Shot/Sunlance, and even further back the beef discussion around Brimaz/Mirran Crusader/Serra Avenger. More recently the Teeg splash idea and Restoration Angel and what folks otherwise run instead of Restoration Angel. Given that Treasure Cruise and to a lesser extent Dig Through Dig Through Time seems to be shaking up the meta, and we are a meta hate deck, these questions are certainly not all answered yet.

Resto provides a ton of value even if you cast her dry without a creature to save, as long as you do it in the right moment. My experience tells me that if you manage to save a creature with her you practically win the match.
Brimaz doesn't have evasion, and only creates 1/1 tokens, which die easily. Resto is an all around very hard to kill creature that has enormous board impact the moment she drops.
I don't think Mangara is that viable right now, even with an extra resetter on Resto.
@Medea: I found that one of the biggest benefits of running a full set of Flagstones is that Cataclysm becomes much better. Would be a pity not to run it in that list. Lands are aplenty and Flagstones help you recover much faster than the opponent.
With my recent experience...
Mangara saved me vs Tezzeret Affinity (not tezzerator, affinity with chalice and tezz)
Mangara saved me in the mirror
Mangara helped me handle a goyf vs punishing jund
Mangara has helped me close out games vs infect
Personally I definitely think mangara has lost SOME value since all the -1/-1 effects because of True name, DnT being big, etc. But he has always pulled his weight for me so I IMHO I don't think playing without him is an option. But that is just me, he comes through for me regularly.
@Medea: I found that one of the biggest benefits of running a full set of Flagstones is that Cataclysm becomes much better. Would be a pity not to run it in that list. Lands are aplenty and Flagstones help you recover much faster than the opponent.
What would you suggest cutting from the sideboard for the Cataclysms? This was the last thing that got cut from my sb and it's still in consideration.
@mrjumbo03 There is nothing that I feel comfortable cutting in the maindeck for 1-2 Mangaras in this shell. I'm already running 61 cards to fit in everything I want, and I'm just not comfortable going down another Revoker or trimming something like a Thalia or Flickerwisp. I initially, looking at Frenadol's list, thought the same thing as you, but practically, I don't know how I fit them in unless they go in the sb. Mangara is a much better game one card, so I'm not sure that it is a good idea.
@swordstotimeshares Restoration Angel has the potential to be devastating for three reasons: the possible value of flickering your own creature at instant speed, the possible blowouts generated by not knowing Restoration Angel is in the deck, and your opponent being overly cautious after seeing a Restoration Angel in game one.
@Golgariforlife Kor Firewalker seems fine, but I think I'd rather have CoP:Red in the 75. I also like Barbed Blightning's idea of Auriok Champion, but I haven't had time to test it.

Others (Medea especially) have already nailed it. Personally, I am running a single copy as a compromise: I wanted four Flickerwisp and four Avenger for the GP and only have seven slots for fliers; Resto is roughly analogous to both, while also having the upside of being Bolt- and Decay-proof and Flash.
Also, unlike Linvala, Restoration angel is easier to cast (3W vs 2WW). Linvala has a (probably) better ability and better synergy, but with Maverick not being a deck any more, I am doubtful of committing to her (including her $45 price tag).
I would like to echo that whenever I have landed a Resto (especially if I saved a creature) she has proceeded to beat the bejesus out of my opponent.
