Most of my logic involved using the advice I was given when I first built the deck (hence the Pacts)
As for the countering tarmogoyfs thing, that was a poorly worded example. Sometimes countering goyf(or another threat) will keep enough pressure off of me vs U-based tempo to wait til turn 6-7 to go off through permission.
The USZ main is just me not wanting to play without a wincon in the main (burn all the wishes b/c of hate/extracted wishes) It's just a habit of mine.
I really like the 1 bounce 1 top main idea! probably going to try it.
The 1 Spell Pierce may seem random. I was running Snap for a while and I just never wanted it ever. It could be Echoing Truth, but Pierce is a great card.
A previous post said that Pact of Negation isn't great in the DeathBlade match up. I have to disagree, it's always been straight cash for me. After beating my DeathBlade opponent he asked if I still had another pact in hand (and I totally did) out of frustration.
I'm not running any graveyard hate at all and I don't miss it. My plan against dredge is to counter their Cabal Therapies and Dread Returns and then just go off as quickly as possible. I beat dredge when I faced it on Sunday. It's not a great plan but I don't think it's any worse than a graveyard hate plan. The only thing I could see is running echoing truth to dispatch mass zombies (truth obviously has other uses as well).
I'm not really a fan of Top, but I haven't really had the time to give it a fair assessment.
Have you ever considered Ravenous Trap or Slaughter Pact for the Dredge match up. Slaughter Pact you can go get with Cunning Wish in response to Iona's trigger.

The idea is you cunning wish in response to reanimate (or exhume or whatever), grab slaughter pact and then slaughter iona during your next turn and try to combo off. You never pay the upkeep cost (because you can't). This is obviously bull**** though, your opponent can play blue spells while you can't so slaughter pact just gets countered and then you lose. Much better is trying to make sure that the reanimation spell never resolves in the first place or surgical extraction in response. The reanimator matchup is no joke, it doesn't help that their deck is super easy to play so you won't get a bunch of random wins through punts. Flusterstorm is always awesome in the reanimator matchup.
I ran graffdigger's cage for a while. It's alright, but it does stone cold nothing in the Sneak/Show matchup which is much more common. It's usually just going to draw a counter anyways so it's not better than something like swan song. If you land it against dredge you might straight up win since the opponent might not board in the cards necessary to deal with cage. Getting grudge in the yard obviously does nothing.
Why has this deck fallen off over the last year or so?

Maybe too many mid-ranged deck packing hatebears? We prefer to face more linear aggro like Zoo. Maybe TNN decks will beat back those hate bears for us, but the rise of Pox isn't good news either.
I finally got to build and play this deck today, and it is fun as hell. This is my most favorite deck I've played in MTG of all of the decks I've built and played. I'm running the all instant speed Solidarity build.
It's been some time since I played this deck, so I don't know if this card really fits, but I found a little gem that basically reads "1UU, instant, draw 3." I thought that sounded good for this deck, so I thought I would share. The card is Three Wishes.

712.5b The controller of another player can't make choices or decisions for that player that aren't called for by the rules or by any objects. The controller also can't make any choices or decisions for the player that would be called for by the tournament rules.
Example: The player who's being controlled still chooses whether he or she leaves to visit the restroom, trades a card to someone else, agrees to an intentional draw, or calls a judge about an error or infraction.
Hey everyone, I'm new to the format and I have the opportunity to pick up a complete Solidarity deck for a decent price. I was just wondering what people's opinions were on this deck's competitiveness currently, since I want a deck that at can win but it doesn't need to be the best deck ever.
^ Yeah, I've been playing this deck for a long time already and still don't consider myself to be good enough to pick up Solidarity. It's a whole different beast, and it's more difficult to plan and execute, since in Solidarity you don't get a second chance ever.
What would be the best option for the deck if you only have access to 3 Candelabra's? I'm working towards getting a 4th, but it'll be a few paycheques before I get to it. I'm currently testing a hidden strings but have also tried the extra turnabout. But maybe there's another option?
Also, my meta can get pretty heavy from time to time with Thoughtseize and Hymn. What's the best plan vs hand destruction. I feel like DnT takes too long to kill me and that I should be able to play through it. But Jund, or just a well timed Hymn wrecks me all the time.
Anyone have any advice for playing vs those kinds of decks?
Feline: What do you board out for the Defense Grids when you bring them in? I meant to ask you this weekend when I saw you playing them and completely forgot.
1 High Tide 1 Candelabra of Tawnos 1 Snap 1 Wipe Away = 4 Defense Grid. IF it's against decks that can potentially be running Ethersworn Canonist / Meddling Mage, I keep in the Snap & take out a Flusterstorm instead, since Flusterstorm helps more against the discard decks as well as counterspells, & decks that typically run discard don't run white. It's risky though, If you drop a Defense grid then they drop a hate bear, you have to set yourself up to be able to bounce it, so always keep in a bounce against potential Meddling Mage/Ethersworn Canonists and of course Thalias.
Feline, you play intuition in the wish board. How would you feel about one intuition main that gets sided out almost everygame? I'm not sure what the cut is just yet but its time spiral copy 5.
I go back and forth with running an intuition in the main, having it in there is super awesome, but I found that a lot of times where I need to get to time spiral through intuition, I can usually do so from cunning wish. Basically the -vs- scroll is that scroll is 1 turn faster, there is also the argument that 2 intuitions means both scroll and wish work, giving you more outs to it. I have just found though that as long as I have it available through something, it seems to be enough, and the increase from bringing one into the main deck is just not enough when there's already one available from the sb. That's just me though, I can totally understand having intuition main, I have done it before and it makes getting to spiral faster!
I'm just thinking g1 where you can often be the aggro you need to go off Asap and they're unlikely to be able to take advantage of intuition's downside. G2 is when the gravehate comes in so its a last ditch attempt.
So I'm slowly building this deck and having a hard time deciding between the solidarity and time spiral builds. I don't have access to FoW, if that changes anything and no candles. Would adding in some snapcasters and a remand or two into the time spiral build help make it more dynamic? I.e. Give it the option to ride up another lists storm count as well as going off on my turn?
