My LGS is starting a weekly Legacy event, but I currently only have a few modern decks. I'd like to support the event, but I'm not willing to go all in on a legacy deck until I know the legacy event will work there. We barely have enough each week for modern. There is not a lot that I have found that makes the deck any better in Legacy. Potentially Green Sun Zenith, and then I could use that in another deck if I continue in legacy.
Here's what I have, and I don't really own any other notable cards -
I'm not going to buy other lands to change it to 3 colors. I know it won't be very good, but I'd like to improve the deck however I can. I also have no idea what the local meta will be. Any input is appreciated.
Bogles has been done. It's actually a legacy deck that was ported to Modern. It was piloted once to a victory. I think it was called Blossoms or something. But it ran Unstable Mutation tossed on top of Invisible Stalker and swinging for 6, then 5, then 4, then 3, then 2 and win with Psionic Blast
It doesn't have game against most of the top decks, but maybe it will help you. The deck's best tricks revolved around Sterling Grove. It helps a lot with the sideboard cards or just putting whatever enchantment you really need on to the creature in question.
Ethersworn Canonist is just better in this deck than Rule of Law since it can attack, no? And Gaddock Teeg can do a lot of work against (most importantly) Terminus, Natural Order, and Tendrils of Agony amongst others. Those cards do turn on decks' removal, but I would think some number of Swords to Plowshares from Miracles are coming out against you, given the first game, and it's not like combo runs removal that can't also hit enchantments (Abrupt Decay, Chain of Vapor, Echoing Truth.)
