So far this has been an idea, I've goldfished it etc, but I really like the idea of a control color Aggro or tempo deck. My list so far (still under development) is mainly black splash white and blue. I'm kind of on a budget, so the final list will have more shocks than duals.
Daze really sucks with Shocks. Unless you're trying to do something with intentionally lowering your own life (Death's Shadow), it's not going to work that well for you. I'd really be tempted to amp up the stifles to 4 MD, but I'm a huge fan of stifle in legacy.
I played a similar list (more of a 4c Tempo Deathblade thing) and typically, when I look to build anything Tempo-ish, I always look to RUG as a starting point:
18 Lands (4 Wasteland, 6 Duals, 8 Fetches)
12 Creatures (4 Delver, 8 other appropriate beaters)
30 Other spells
Unfortunately, you've got quite a bit of BB costs, which sorta limits the effectiveness of Wasteland, which would lead into the following: would Deathrite Shaman be worth including in your list? He might be able to help with mana issues. If not him, I'd consider trying out Tombstalker, but I'm not 100% on him (I've been playing Deathrite, Stoneforge, Dark Confidant as my creature base). Big body, out of bolt range, flies over True-Name. I'm also just not a huge fan of Baleful Strix in an aggro-style deck; I just don't feel like the 1 power does enough if you're being the aggressor.
Sideboard also seems a little wonky. Ghost quarter (I'm assuming it would evolve into Wasteland?) is a main-deck card (it's almost never dead). Relic and Stony Silence also seem a little weird, but I'd been playing with a bit of a odd board myself, featuring a number of Enlightened Tutor, alongside Rest in Peace, Serenity, Aegis of Honor and Pithing Needle as 1-ofs.
That's just off the top of my head, based on my experience.
