Your list has a glaring flaw: 0 Bonfire of the Damned. I promise you, that I'd one of the best cards in the deck. I started off with a 2/3 split bonfire/deed and am now at 4/1. It's basically a cheaper Deed that also is an automatic Fireball, is immune to Stifle, and can be done without warning at instant speed. Sure, it doesn't kill equipment or Affinity's lands, but don't underestimate dealing tons of damage to the face. Bonfire is a legitimate wincon.
You also have two fewer Decays than I with undoubtably hurts your CounterTop matchup. On the wish board, I find reanimate to be stellar. I agree about the redundant cards, you can drop them to make room for a Reanimate and another REB?
How often do you find yourself casting GSZ for Dryad? When is this better than GSZ for Explorer the next turn? Thoughts on Witness and Ooze? I've actually cut Witness entirely for not being useful enough.
Stifle the Bonfire's miracle trigger?

There's a huge difference between what happens when you stifle them. Stifling Bonfire puts it in your hand with 0 mana expanded, ready to be cast. When you stifle Deed, you loose Deed and the mana you spent on it.
Still Doesnt make Bonfire Immune to stifle though.

Fine. Would you prefer "stifle resistant" The point is Stifle on a Deed is worse than countering it, while Stifle on Bonfire does sufficiently little that it doesn't happen unless it might make the difference in the game.
how would you compare the scapeshift wincon to a explorer-powered NO wincon?
i was just toying around with the idea, unsure about it as a whole.
in regards to bonfire, it is surprisingly good for aformentioned un-stifle-ability, etc. i'm still not sold on reducing deed so much in favor of it tho D:

I believe NO is worse in the Nic Fit shell than Scapeshift because NO requires an otherwise totally dead creature card in the deck, while Valakut is merely a slow land with a target on its head if it's naturally drawn. Also, Scapeshift has synergy with the ramp the deck already plays. Additionally, Nic Fit's games tend to go long--I'm surprised how often I draw the 1-of Thragtusk in my deck and how often I make Eternal Witness go get it again. Without ways to put the card back, drawing the NO target in a drawn-out game can kill your chances of winning.
Arianrhod has a NO board in his rector build, I wouldn't run NO in the scapewish build. But it seems like a viable SB strategy for either straight GB or Rector versions.

Finally, NO is not a guaranteed kill, nor does it kill right away. A resolved Scapeshift does, given 8 lands in play.
Against control the only time you want to off an explorer is when you can actually use the two lands that turn to gain advantage. Giving them two lands w/o putting any pressure on them; is one of the biggest mistakes you can do. Even if that pressure is just casting Cabal Therapy and flashing it back to tear their hand to shreds.
Hello all doe's anyone still play this deck? i was looking for a deck in legacy and i enjoy big mana deck with scapeshift in them. i play titan shift in modern and wanted something close to what I'm used to.
