I thought it was very interesting how well this deck did at SCG. Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "Big Zoo" anyways.
Really this is just proof that Legacy is a really, really dense format, and that if you want to go aggro, you can find 200+ cards that are relatively similar and super-powered for such a deck.
As far as being a Battle of Wits deck goes, I'd be curious to know exactly how many games he won with the enchantment. I really hope there's a report later on some site. I found two things odd. One, no Enlightened Tutor. 4x seems obvious, not only to grab BoW but also to snag those sweet equipments with. Two, the deck isn't base blue. Obviously in Legacy this isn't necessary, but it seems like what you'd want to do. The other Battle deck at SCG I think was more along those lines, but of course this one did better so clearly I don't know what I'm talking about with Battle of Wits decks!

Yeah, there is also an obvious lacking of Academy Rector. Basically an auto-win if it dies.
Anyways on a serious note. Didn't the guy use a tutor toolbox in the SB? I feel that's the best way to do this is to run 4x worldly tutor and eladamri's call in the SB along with creatures that hate on decks i.e. canonist against storm, gaddock teeg against dredge, etc. etc. and he also run's 4x GSZ MD because let's face it that card is nuts in here for ramping or just finding almost any creature. The only problem I think this deck has is consistency and shuffling it is a pain in the ass.
Also, the lack of e. tutor and other such tutors is because the deck isn't focused on killing with battle of wits. It is a zoo deck essentially in plan most of the time and there are 8 I win cards those 8 being battle of wits and natural order. Or getting to 11 mana and casting GSZ for X = 10 to find progenitus which would be the funniest play ever.
I disagree with the lack of brainstorm though. I would play 4 brainstorm in any deck running blue. Just imagine, drawing progenitus and not having brainstorm to put it back lulz.
Also with this deck you can go the control route with a combo kill that combo being battle of wits alone or you can go aggro like Kenny did. The control version runs a lot of enchantment tutors and a lot of creature removal like 4x ***, DoJ, damnation, deed, EE, along with a lot of other board sweepers. That version also runs a lot of tutors for battle of wits.
Overall funny deck though and anyone who runs it in a tournament is my hero, end of story. At least you get variance in your opening 7's lulz.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
Anyone think they should do a newer version but with 100 cards as the wincon? I mean the decks current difficulty is shuffling, seasoned edh players would be used to 100 less cards
100 cards isnt that bad a win condition of 100 cards is too easy... but I would assume a typical Battle of Wits deck would have at least 250 to 260 cards.
Actually with the dozen of tutors in the game I dont see it being such a hard deck to play and yes I would slighish aggro since it requires a very few cards in play. I could guess it becomming a problem with High tide although the nightmare of a timespiral and shuffling 200+ cards each time... wow!!!
It probably costs too much but arc slogger seems like it could steal games when you have no risk of decking. Academy Rector also fits but I wonder if there are not more sac outlets the deck could run to make that happen.
A single emrakul protects the deck from grindstoneings, so would pop that in as well.
It'd be awesome to see something like this for a Stax build. Or other archetypes, for that matter. Although I guess the truly awesome thing for this deck is that Battle of Wits takes a back seat. And it's really not as inconsistent as one might think; the heart of it is pure aggro. Turn your dudes sideways turn after turn. And oops, if they clear your board, search up BoW and just win. LOVE IT.

Watching him win game one of a feature match by dropping the wits off his opponent's Show and Tell during one of the earlier-round feature matches was pretty awesome (even though he lost that match).

I mean with that many cards, your game plan against, say, ANT, will change based on your opener, instead of relying on normal hate cards.
Same for against any deck in the format really.
It's interesting for sure, but not very consistent.

Something to think about...
Too bad Magical Hack doesnt effect numbers...
In his Second 100 days - Yawgmoth's Bargain is unrestricted in Vintage.
What is going to happen in the Next 100 days!!!

The first page of my Cube list also includes my cube workbook for excel, feel free to look at and use it if you would like to.
I think the aggro one worked because no matter what it drew, it had the same strategy, and could just win with BoW.
This one though, all depends on what control elements you end up finding. Although you are running close to 30 counterspells :$

There's also the only creature with Transfigure who could fetch Academy Rector. Sry, don't know his name. Too arcane.
I think you have to go a toolbox route, with one-ofs galore. Where's your Karakas, for example?
