MTG Salvation

Hey everyone. First time posting here. I am looking at playing my decks in some legacy tournaments just wanted to see how I could slowly improve my decks. I'm not against paying for cards but I have to slowly collect a play set as I can't pay for them all at once all the time.

My biggest concern right now for this deck would be controlling board wipes like Wrath of God. I would think dropping in 4 counter spells and taking out the 4 Diabolic Edicts would help that. I also was thinking about putting in another Yisan, the Wanderer Bard as he is a good tutor for slivers.

You want to stay away from the super high cost creatures like the hivelord or the ward sliver. I know they are cool, but slivers are meant to be fast and swarm-like. I don't know what your budget is exactly, but something close to this would give a little more umph in a competitive environment.



With this deck you can still protect your slivers with Crystalline Sliver and Hibernation Sliver, without having to pay 5 mana. You can swam up with aether vial, and you have quite a few pump slivers to make sure you can get that damage in.

Right now the deck is around $250. The first step into making it cheaper would be to take out the cavern of souls. Each of those are around 20 bucks. Just replace them with something like Ancient Ziggurat.

What spooky said is true, but I would with ALL of my power try to obtain 4 Cavern of Souls, it's the card that makes tribal decks legitimate in legacy. You are basically a slightly better version of Merfolk (in current meta at least) massing a bunch of +1/+1 slivers and trying to get flying. Crystalline protects against targeted removal as does Hibernation, but Hibernation allows you to do things like Vial it in in response to say a Terminus, bounce everything and reload on the miracles player or X deck.

I recommend watching "MTG Legacy: Slivers - Inside The Deck #128" on youtube for some insight on budget slivers on legacy. This is lose to what a guy runs locally here and it can give me fits at times. I play miracles, and Hibernation is just a blowout against me. If he lands lifelink + hibernation I actually can't win usually, I still come out on top most of the time but its just awkward.

Also of note, the youtube video is old, but you should have 2x Containment Priest in the board against Dredge/Reanimator/Sneak and show as they pretty much cannot beat you if you land that card. Even though it hits your own vial, it frees up your sideboard to hate on truly bad fair matchups.

Here is a budget list I think that could work now that Unclaimed Territory is being printed.
