Hey all!
So full disclosure i dont actually play legacy but i knock around with this deck irl. I found a big issuee with this deck is that drawing restore balance kinda sucks so i tried to go and fix the problem! I added anger of the gods because it can be pretty devastating too, and you can control whether or not you go into it by playing one of the three cost cards or a higher costing card. Well that was a poorly thought out decription but im pretty wiped and I think i got the jist of it. what do you think?
I think anger of the gods is just bad. If you cascade into with bloodbraid, you lose your elf. You really want to ensure you cascade into balance each time or a card that will cascade into balance. I tried the deck for awhile with a card that reshuffled my library while milling my opponent so I could essentially have endless balances but it still wasn't that great to be honest since you don't want to feed gorfs or delve or even deathrites. The biggest issue is trying to get anything done vs counter magic or extremely fast decks. Nothing is worse than sacing lands and getting dazed. I think the deck was more popular in modern.

This is incorrect. BBE cascades into Anger. Anger resolves first, dealing 3 to everything. Then BBE resolves, full of 3/2 hasty glory. Elf does not die.
However, Anger is still bad in the main (maybe OK in SB). When you cast a cascade spell, you reliably want to know whether you are going to hit Balance or not. Otherwise you might be sacrificing your lands for nothing! The whole point of the deck is to have 100% control over when you are casting Balance so that you can manipulate your hand and board to get the most value from it. That only works if every one of your cascades hits Balance and none accidentally hit an Anger.
Therefore, if you want to play a cheap red burn spell to deal with weenies, consider Pyrokinesis main or Angers in the SB. But not Angers main.
