I'm looking at getting from Modern into Legacy, two decks attract me, but at this point I can only afford budget versions, with a view to upgrade them as time goes by.
So my questions are, which of these deck lists would be more solid and which one would form a more solid deck once complete (Big Red or Reanimator?) Any help much appreciated.
The other thing is that this is to be played on MTGO, hence meta is highly variable and can almost be considered unknown…
Unfortunately, I think you will not like my opinions on the matter haha:
I think that in the current state, big red is the more playable deck for the base budget deck. However, UB Reanimator is far more competitive than big red has ever been. If you're staying straight black reanimator all the way, then big red in both instances. But, if you're going to add blue to reanimator and make it the fairly classic list, then yeah I would go with the reanimator in the end.

Current Decks:
Modern
Modern Warp / UR Control / UR Storm / Naya Breachshift / ElectroBalance
Legacy
Solidarity / Lands / Sneak and Show / Grixis Delver / Reanimator / Belcher / Storm / Dredge
The second list really needs Sneak Attack, but I think that is an easier budgetary hoop than getting the UB duals and Forces.
Yeah, I can easily see that one being true.
Of course, to add to my confusion , I saw this interesting BG Reanimator deck, but probably not really any better than the Big Red shown above (unless you guys think otherwise!):

However that Big Red list if you can buy sneak attacks you can turn it into Mono-R Sneak attack which is a pretty nasty deck.
