The deck does seem all over the place. But it does pack a punch. I've been over here playing my dredge and belcher deck most of the time. Still testing stompy though. Affinity was giving my fits all the time until I took out River Boa and threw in Dryad Sophisticate. I remember playing it in heezy street 5 years ago. Almost any deck has non-basic lands so she can attack unblocked most of the time. So I might use her over the boa from now on.
Still trying to see how the new legend rule will effect Legacy. Lot of crazy stuff can happen.
Here is an elvish stompy deck I saw but tweaked to make it legacy legal.
Stasis players like me are like those old gray haired convicts that have been locked up for 40 years straight. You can take us in a fight but you know you'll lose a testicle in the process of winning.

I'll never tell you the flavor text of Teferi's Imp!!
Invigorate + Berserk usually is 9 points of damage if the creatures attack is 2 so definitely worth it in my experience. I don't use Landgrant as it gives away your hand and possible combat tricks you could play. Any suggestions for sideboard?

"Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight."
Invigorate and Berserk are awesome in infect stompy. No doubt. In the 9 land or 10 land version they tend to be a bit of a burden giving your opponent life or a timely bolt/STP on the berserked dude sucks hard.
While Land Grant tips your hand and gives information, most of the time I empty my hand after a land grant so I find the drawback minimal. Plus it can be fodder for bounty of the hunt or vine dryad.
9 Land Stompy is a fun, cheap, some what competitive deck. I used it as a learning tool for my cousins before I handed them stuff like burn of affinity or goblins. But it can kill fast if played by someone who knows the deck.
I used Rogue Elephant and Dryad Militant to hose my dredge deck once. Experience with the deck is paramount to a degree of success with any deck.

Giving the deck 8 quirion effects would be great but the only problem is we can only play 1 land a turn. This would be fine is we ran more than 10 lands in the deck. Returning more than 2 lands a turn is a rarity for this deck and even if you did that only 1 can be played. Getting to more than 3 land in play is also tough unless you actually work for it or get a strange opening hand/first few turns. I'm actually thinking of taking Nettle Sentinel out of the deck and adding 3 Deathrite Shaman to the main. Just an idea for gravehate/mana accel/lifegain. This could also give me a few open slots in the sideboard to fool around with. Just an idea though.

I feel like Jungle Lion, while probably being a staple to this deck, isn't quite where I would be playing this deck. I like Skyshroud Ridgeback simply because of it's 3 toughtness. I also feel like Skyshroud Elite maybe better than Nettle Sentinel here.
Skyshroud Elite is better than the Ridgeback. The fading counters are what hurt you. You need permanent creatures which is why Groundbreaker is not in the deck. You want the drawback that you can most easily work around.
The Ridgeback can survive to attack for 2 turns.
The Elite will be a 1/1 unless your opponent has a non-basic land.
With the amount of non-basic lands in Legacy the Elite is a better choice.
The same thing with Jungle Lion. It used to be a great card until they printed Dryad Militant. Now you have a 2/1 for G that can block and removes any instant and sorcery that goes to the graveyard.

Vine Dryad and Bounty of the Hunt cause unnecessary card disadvantage. If you feel you won't be facing many non-basic lands, use Jungle Lion instead of Skyshroud Elite.
