So I am building a Legacy deck for the upcoming GP in Niagara Falls but I am having trouble with the side board dose anyone have an suggestions for good general cards for the side deck the deck is Red with a splash of green.
er... this REALLY depends on what sort of deck you're playing. Rg... lands? goblins? painter? werewolf stompy? burn-splash-bee sting? i'm not very familiar with all decks in legacy though, so i've no idea what you're building.
what you'd want in your sideboard for lands is really different to goblins, for example, and that would be different to burn which would also be different to some stompy build.
I myself am trying to build a good sideboard (I'm really bad at it), but think about what decks you absolutely need to beat that you're somewhere between 40-50% and figure out avenues of interactions that will give you an edge. For example, i've been running dominate against turbo depths, and occasionally, i could steal a monastery mentor to go for a blowout after. definitely not good tech, but it helps a bit for me.
Either way, you're very reliant on your glass-cannon combo at that point, since any amount of disruption, especially on the play is going to completely shut you down for a good 5-6 turns for you to build up again. So with that in mind, i'd go with 1 of 2 options:
The thing is, against any form of dredge, if you don't go off turns 1-2, you're pretty boned. the leyline will help you blank some number of turns, giving you time to sculpt and prepare to go off.
against any Ux deck, ~40% chance you'll meet a turn 1 force of will. On the draw, you're facing even things like daze, spell pierce, and more disruption. so silence/orim's chant forces them to counter that, so you might be able to go off after that. but you know, they always have that second counter.
Against other chalice of the void-style decks, you need explosives, ratchet bomb to blow it up to go off.
If it's not cheerios, then this sideboard probably won't be very helpful.
Oh by the way, the cheerios I've seen in the past all run 4 gemstone caverns, so things like silence and chant are all castable anyways.
I have no idea what this Cheerios deck is, so I use Cloudstone Curio to bounce them back and forth and use grape shot or impact tremors to kill my opponent
The cheerios deck is basically your deck, minus the curio, but with more 0CMC guys, with a goblin bushwacker as a kiloton as well as grapeshot.
Having goldfishes your list a bit, i'd recommend you look up and try cheerios. It's a turn 1-2 kill glass cannon, doesn't require any setup at all, basically. The skill is in the mulligan decisions and the sequencing. I've also seen versions that run multani's presence and chalice of the void (which also hampers other storm decks). if you like the idea of bouncing guys, scapegoat is what you'd want to pull mid-combo to continue.
I'm not a cheerios player, but this is a typical list i found (note that it's an older version).
So the sideboard isn't where i would have gone actually; i'm not sure what the purpose of the extra grapeshot would be, but i'd add engineered explosives, more leyline, reduce the surgicals. If you still wanna go with your build that's slower, then ratchet bomb could be something that'd work for you. you might also want to consider gemstone caverns (to speed you up) as well.

Legacy - Solidarity - mono U aggro - burn - Imperial Painter - Strawberry Shortcake - Bluuzards - bom
I'm gonna assume that you're running cheerios then, not sure if you're going the multani's presence version or glimpse of nature version.

1. 4 leyline of the void + 4 orim's chant + 4 silence + engineered explosives + ratchet bomb or maybe even pact of negation
2. 15 island. Make your opponent think that you're planning to slow your deck down by adding in tonnes of hate, but then go off at exactly the same speed.
The thing is, against any form of dredge, if you don't go off turns 1-2, you're pretty boned. the leyline will help you blank some number of turns, giving you time to sculpt and prepare to go off.
