I have Solidarity and Enchantress built completely with no shared cards.
If I choose to use cards in either of those decks or from decks in progress (for example from Aluren, which is not included above due to missing two lands), I can also include High Tide (including Candelabras) and Trix.
I'm within 1-8 cards of being able to include another dozen decks on that list though (conservatively).
Just got to say, you've definitely earned distinction as an MTGS hero

ExpiredRascals you sir are a god-like hero.
Quote from Lanxal »
ER is a masterful god who cannot be beaten in any endeavour.
Decks I can play:
UWr Miracles
Esper Stoneblade
UB Tezzeret
UWR delver
UWR stoneblade
Deathblade
Stuff I could build if I bought like 20$ of SB cards:
4color/Grixis Delver
UR Delver
Like many legacy players, I don't own decks. I own staples. I have an 800 count box full of legacy cards all sleeved the same way so it is easy to put together whichever of the decks I want to play. However, it didn't start out that way. When I first bought into the blue side of legacy, I started with Esper stoneblade and after that slowly just added staples to make other archtypes. However, with this method I cannot make two legacy decks. Too many of the staples overlap. UB Tezzeret and Miracles could be configured so only one has FoW and Jace and then both decks could co-exist.
For anyone getting into competitive legacy, I would recommend building just 1 deck right, instead of multiple budget decks.. After you have that deck you can make others far more easily if their staples overlap.
^This, pretty much. I don't have separate decks completed and ready to go, but I own staples. My current deck assembled is Deathblade. The rest of the cards unused are double-sleeved and placed in the same colored sleeve as my current deck. That way I can just immediately swap cards.
I started the same way; I built Esperblade first. Then I branched off from there. I can build:
Esperblade
U/W Stoneblade
Deathblade
Miracles (Missing only 1 more Entreat the Angels...and I suppose 1-2 Arid Mesa's. MAYBE Scalding Tarn if I decide to run a basic Mountain)
Jeskai Stoneblade (Missing 1x Volcanic Island, and like Miracles, missing the slightly better fetches)
Manaless Dredge
Almost completed:
Burn (Missing main critters and better burn spells like Chain Lightning)
Working on Death and Taxes; I had most of the creatures at one point. But missing 4x Ports and 2x Wastelands.
I can't imagine me being too far away from U/R Delver being completed. Working on building up a binder full of legacy staples, including sideboard cards.
That's pretty much what I do. I have a 2,000 count box plus an ultra pro carrying case all filled with Legacy staples all black sleeved so I can just pull whatever cards I need to make whatever deck I want to play. Too many decks have overlaps to buy playsets for each one. I'd be broke in no time and have to own like 500 dual lands.
I'm sort of kicking myself in the ass, if I'd realized the 3rd edition dual lands would be so expensive I would had buy more playsets when they were worth 10 dollars each. I'd never thought 3rd edition would be so freaking expensive.... Actually, I would never thought any 3rd edition stuff would be that expensive.
I have one tournament playable deck (Burn)
I do have dredge, pox, stasis, elves, enchantress but I wouldnt play it in a tournament.
I could have U/R delver but I failed to get 3 u/r fetchlands (or I would make it a tournament playable deck too)
Well, when I went to this one card show on Route 46 in Parsippany, NJ (Hello fellow Jersyites) back in 94, there was this one table selling all the dual lands. I asked him how much. He said $12 each. I thought he was nuts. $12 for ONE Magic card. But for whatever reason (call it a sixth sense) I got a playset of every dual land. All 40 for $480.
I've never regretted it.
Just curious. What year was this?
As I stated in the reply, it was 94 just after I started playing this game. Back then things were a lot different than they are now in almost every regard. There was no sanctioned play, at least not around my neck of the woods. There was no type 1, type 2 or whatever. You took a bunch of cards and threw them together to make a deck. You played for ante, though I never did. You traded moxen for Shivan Dragons. It was nuts.
Thank goodness I had enough sense to buy the duals. Every other great card that I should have jumped on I completely ignored...as did everybody else.
I have mono-Red Burn and Leylines sleeved up, but can't build anything else anyway. I might build some sort of Glimpse of Nature storm deck next.

There are few men in this Parliament for whom I have greater respect than the leader of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation. I admire him in my heart, because time and again he has had the courage to say what lays on his conscience, regardless of what the world might think of him. A man of that calibre is an ornament to any Parliament.
I don't play decks. I solve optimization problems.
Currently solving:
Standard: Too poor for this format.
Modern: GW Auras, Living End, WB TurboFog, UB Mill, UR Storm
Legacy: R Burn, GU Infect, RG Lands, B Contamination
RUG Delver
UR Delver
Most stoneblade variants (dont have a set of USeas)
Miracles
Lands (Control)
Maverick
Burn
Pox
Belcher
Affinity
I could probably build a delver/stoneblade/miracles deck, lands, burn, pox, affinity and belcher at the same time. Obviously becomes trickier if i need to share Wastelands. I am about $50ish away from being able to do Merfolk, dredge, and ANT/TES. Goblins is close too, just need Piledrivers and Moggcatchers.
Our legacy meta exists because of a couple of us. We all bring up 2-3 decks and share them with locals to enable legacy tournaments.
I have burn, manaless, and lands together. I don't own tundras, volcs, or useas (trops in lands are my weapon of choice, because I'm a sadist), but apart from those and forces, I could build any Uxx delver or blade variant. I have most of the pieces for Storm, Literally if I bought LED's I could sleeve up LED dredge, ANT, or TES. I have oops all spells, so I'd be LED's + belchers away from playing belcher. Once I get out of college and have some free income, my priorities are a pair of tundras, a pair of volcs, and 3 Useas. I'll leave the forces to last because they're reprintable. When someone at the local shop has an extra set of forces to loan out, I'll sometimes play miracles or some stoneblade build at a weekly.

Yes, I am a local area mod. WELP. GOOD LIFE CHANGES ALL HAPPEN AT ONCE AND SOME ARE MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE
Primary Decks:
Modern: Esper Draw-Go
Legacy: RUG Lands
EDH: Sidisi turn-3 storm
There's some overlap between these sadly, but I have access to...
GWb Maverick
Deadguy Ale
Elves
ANT
TES
Dredge
Burn
Nic Fit
I could probably build Reanimator if I pick up another Griselbrand and a couple reanimation spells. I own Forces... but I've never had anything to use them in.
Like most, I've also got a box of Legacy staples. I've finally finished my playset of all dual lands and fetchlands this summer (four years after I got my first Tundra) and with that, I have access to the following decks:
Stoneblade - UW, Esper, Deathblade, Bant
Delver - UR, RUG, UWR, BUG, Grixis, four colour
Miracles
Shardless BUG
MUD
Affinity
Jund
Maverick
Aggro Loam
Ad Nauseam Tendrils
The Epic Storm
Sneak and Show
Omni-Show
Goblin Charbelcher
Dredge - LED and Manaless
The most significant decks I'm missing are nonblue decks without a lot of overlap (Elves, Lands, Death and Taxes) and some blue combo like High Tide and Reanimator. Other than that, I've got access to much of the format.

Both of those were constructed a few years ago when i was still in college. I have most of the fetches and playsets of many staples, but due to a lack of time and people to play with, I haven't really tried to put together any additional decks since graduating. Hopefully I can find a few more players in my area- then I can justify building the Stoneblade deck i always sort of wanted!
I own a card shop so I could build a few decks depending on what we have in stock at the time but within my personal collection I have roughly 7 (maybe 8+ if you count variations of the same archetype) I can play -
Jund (Punishing and non Punishing)
Bug Delver (Stifle build and Liliana/Hymn Build)
Mono Black Pox
G\B Loam
Burn
Shardless BUG
Dark Maverick/BW Pikula splash Green
Basically I have enough random staples and duals to play a plethora of decks that don't require Volcanic Island or Tundra. I'm just some Entombs/Griselbrands away from having Reanimator fully built as well.
Lands (Missing 2 Mox Diamonds)
Enchantress (Missing Enchantress)
Stax (Missing Mox Diamonds)
Food Chain (Missing Food Chains)
High Tide (Missing both Resets and Candelabra)
MUD (Missing 1 Metalworker, 4 Grim Monolith)
Infect (Missing 2 Berserk)
4-Color Loam (Missing 2 Mox Diamonds)
Red Stompy (Missing 3 Magus of the Moons)
That's about it hopefully.

I started out with Mono-Black Pox, then gradually built it up into my glorious GB-Pox-Depths list. Nowadays I can build MUD, Merfolk, Nic Fit, Bombardment, Affinity and Jund. I'd like to eventually put together Lands, but there are a few higher value cards I still need to pick up for that.

I actually splurged for the Tabernacle for Pox a while back. Its the Ports that are the next big thing on my hit list.

Nice, then you are close. I always thought that the turning point in trying to building Lands is getting the Tabernacle.

So I guess 5. I only have 2 of each revised dual, so technically I'm not fully optimized, but I'm ok running a couple shocks in a list, so I'm calling all of these "complete." To be fair, I also need to pick up monastery swiftspear and treasure cruise for UR delver. I think I can afford the $10. UWR delver should also have at least 1 TNN that I just haven't bothered to pick up yet.
With a set of tarmogoyf, I could build BUG delver... I am unconvinced I'll ever bother to get goyfs though... they are just so expensive for being a relatively uninteresting and not all that rare of a card.
EDIT: I suppose I should point out that like most, I don't have all of these "fully built" as in having multiple copies of staples. I can field a maximum of 3 legacy decks at once:
UR delver
Zombardment
Either Maverick or Loam Pox
I would much rather have a one fully-built deck than many incomplete sketches.
After a major sell-out I only have Punishing Jund at the moment, but am quickly gathering cards for a full Shardless BUG and BUG Delver (all versions). I am going to settle with these three for a while (of course, I will not be able to sleeve up more than one deck at a time).
Indeed, it's something of a curse to have the cards for more than one deck: the temptation to wander with the meta is great. It can counteract the skill-increasing effects of playing with one deck for an extended period of time.
I have taken a vow to play Miracles exclusively, and it's started to pay dividends after a few months, but I could field: Miracles, Burn, WUR Delver, UR Delver, UW Stoneblade, Esperblade, Deathblade, Reanimator, Omnitell, or Dredge.
