Hi guys.
So with delver running around with elves and other decks I wanted to try something not a lot of people seemed to be playing, BR vampires or vampires in general. I looked all over the place for ideas to run vampires but the general consensus is not to play vampires or they can get countered easily....
Well I still really want to play vampires becuase they look really interesting as a tribe but some general matchups would be helpful like vampires against decks like elves or delver. If there is a way vampires can shine I would really like to know.

The consensus is that you can't play Tribal Vampires because there is no way for them to shine as a tribe.
I think you should look to play individual vampires in the right deck. For example, Vampire Hexmage and Dark Depths. Bloodghast and Smallpox (then playing a land). Things like that. In some decks, vampires are used, just not because they're vampires.
If you were to attempt a vampire tribal deck, you'll find that they lack the speed, power, or control (elves, goblins, merfolk) that other tribes bring to the table. Those decks are able to fill a niche in the legacy metagame by abusing their tribal characteristic. Merfolk allows you to play aggressive dudes while holding back mana to play Counterspells or some other form of control. Goblins allow you to punch really hard and get free creatures. They even have their own tutors. Elves are just stupid fast (and my personal favorite).
I suppose you could include a discard package with Vampires. Of course, is the deck better than, say, Pox? Nic Fit? Any other deck that might play Cabal Therapy? Bloodghast + Cabal Therapy doesn't sound bad, really, so I suppose you could give it a whirl. I did think about a deck like this a long time ago. I thought I could play AEther Vial, Cabal Therapy, and some other disruption with cheap vampires. The more I thought about it, though, the more I started replacing subpar vampires with cards from Pox.
I see. I could definitely include vamps as a hybrid. Well even if they can't be a successful tribe, some of them are pretty awesome. Oh well. Hopefully we can get some new ones when we return to zendikar! (Fingers crossed)
