Wow, it's already Round 7? Did they start earlier than usual?
I'll sadly miss most of this event because I'm traveling (I'm mooching off of airport wifi right now) but it seems like there are some interesting decks on today.

John Good has 4 2/2 zombies against a snapcaster, stoneforge, and deathrite w/o green. Opponent at 16 life. Doesnt he win in 3-4 swings? I have no idea why he scooped
Edit: Turned on the stream right before round 7. Watching the UWR Miracles vs Melira Pod and Dredge just not doing anything are not good feature matches to watch.
John Good throwing away creatures for no reason and scooping the match to his opponent. Feel bad for him, but wonder how he got 5-1 in the first place.

I like Chapin, the guy is entertaining. Not sure why he came out with a book regarding deck building if he only know about Standard and some Modern though. You would think someone who is representing a book like that would have more exp with other formats. Don't get me wrong, there is a LOT to know, but it just doesn't seem right to me.
Did anyone else find Surgical Extraction shenanigans in the LED Dredge vs Deathblade [R6 I think, Tenjum vs John Good?] match very sketchy?
The Deathblade player extracted all the Ichorids, then proceeded to look through Dredge deck some more, saw 2 Narcomoebas near the top and shuffled the deck, then checked again and seeing thy're still there shuffled more. He repeated it 1-2 more times until the Narcos were further down and after a tiny shuffle he put the deck down. Good did not shuffle it afterwards.
What we have here is either 2 players not knowing what Surgical does [Good should be the one doing all the shuffling] or Deathblade player cheating by trying to stack Dregde deck and hoping John doesn't notice.
Thoughts?
At the time, I took it as the Deathblade player not realizing that Good did in fact only have three ichorids. Missing an ichorid can be detrimental. Either way, Good should have shuffled himself. It's nobody's fault but his own.
I noticed that. I assumed he didn't want the 2 Narcomoebas clumped together so he "shuffled" until he could confirm they were one after the other. I'm not sure if that's illegal, though.

As long as the deck is "Sufficiently Randomized" afterwards, the deathblade player could of organized the dredge players deck however he wanted. Its the old "If it matters, its cheating. If it doesnt, its wasting time".
I don't think it had anything to do with the narco's. I think he was looking to see if and what was left in the deck like how many dread returns, dredgers and or lands. A lot of times when you extract something you focus on getting everything, then say "oh, how many of these does he have left, or did he sideboard this out?"
I would be more concerned if he split the narco's up on purpose when he saw them clumped, but Macius is right also long as the deck is sufficient randomized after it really doesnt' matter.
I often find myself saying out loud as I extract or extirpate someone, "Lets see what you sided against me" as I look through there deck. Nothing really wrong with it.

The feature matches have been a decent mix so far imo. Some combo, some miracles, various control decks.

please more delver :c
Edit: Well, that didn't work either. I just really wanted ANT to win everything.
No way maverick wins that t8. Shardless BUG is pretty much the worst matchup for that deck possible.
Did anyone else notice Adam not sacrificing the City of Traitors when he sacs how fetch, and then tapping said City for mana for the hard cast Force?
Oracle:When you play another land, sacrifice City of Traitors.
Cracking fetchlands doesnt cause you to pop a city. Its only when you play another land
