Manages to survive through two Blightsteel attacks. The deck is hilarious. I can't tell whether it is amazing or terrible, but I'm enjoying watching. My inclination is to say terrible.
Wow, these are the type of deck I want to see in the beginning rounds. Competitive deck can always be seen in later rounds. Interesting decks like this really shows the diversity of deck within the legacy format. Not to mention it can increase the creativity of legacy deck.
I may just build this Mono-Blue deck with proxies to **** with my friends. It seems like its just a blast if you actually can pull off the combo/lock. Such a great match to watch.
That deck is so sweet, when your opponent has to read half your cards and is seemingly having fun even when losing just because you went FULL RIDICULOUS on your brew, that's a great thing to see in magic.
truth be told I'm a tad tired of the same old on camera, this is refreshing!

Vintage nostalgic, WUB Fish control/aggro addicted.
Legacy:RUG Temur Delver
Modern: ??? undecided.
(1) Charbelcher vs. (8) U/G Food Chain
(4) U/R Delver vs. (5) Sneak & Show
(3) Mono-Green Post vs. (6) Manaless Dredge
(2) BUG Control vs. (7) Patriot
What a top 8.
Yup! Looking at the last couple weeks makes it pretty laughable that folks though TNN was going to warp the format. The Legacy meta is fascinating and diverse of late - perhaps more so than ever.
Actually, the BUG control took first. There's a lot of variance in a eight player elimination round, though. I wouldn't put much weight into the specific rank within the top eight.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.
2 out of 8 is hardly overwhelming numbers, especially when compared to just a few months ago. Legacy can so easily adapt to the top threat that nothing dominates for very long.

Currently playing:
Standard: I, for one, welcome our new rhinoceros overlords
Modern: Pod's dead, Bob's back.
Legacy: Lands, Deathblade, Death and Taxes, Elves, MUD
Retired Legacy: Merfolk, Goblins, Jund, Delver, Reanimator
Does anyone have the Foodchain list? I've seen Joe Losset playing a BUG version on stream that looks really fun and am hoping this is something similar.

Is there a Food Chain thread? I haven't found one in Developing or Established.
I think there used to be one, but it fell off the first page of Developing and hasn't been seen since.
Speaking of Food Chain, I tried the Top 8 list on Cockatrice and it's a blast to play. Thanks to Shardless Agent (often into Manipulate Fate), it can outgrind stuff like Jund somewhat easily, and it's surprisingly not dead against combo, even in Game 1.
Manipulate Fate hates me in this deck, though--too often, I'm stuck exiling the last Misthollow Griffin, the last Manipulate Fate, then having no clue what to exile (especially if Misdirection is good in that match-up).

Edit: The game against punishing maverick.
Phimus, the guy who won with BUG control plays around me. I think we've played each other once and he's a funny guy. Really happy for him.
