I.....I don't get what this thread is. Are you saying that Jeweled Amulet should be in the deck? Why isn't this just in the MUD thread? Is this a general discussion about using Jeweled Amulet? Why are we discussing a god hand that results in a turn three Kuldotha Forgemaster instead of a win? I am genuinely confused by what is meant to be discussed here.
STATISTICS.
All of these "Let's eliminate bad cards" crusades are simply ignorant. And when they start to devolve into "WotC is conspiring to give us crappy cards," they just become embarrassing. MATH is conspiring to give you crappy cards.

Then you should include some comment of talking about its applications, not just giving a 'god-hand' for a MUD deck.
I would hardly call that a God hand
more like a bad hand
if I didn't have the Amulet in my hand it would be a mulligan
and yeah it is hilarious to have people go like "wtf did you just do.. what is that.." *spins the card around* only to have them still not understand what it does after they read it (Ice Age is like Victorian English, too many words and tiny font) and then when I make a play like that they're like "Ohhhhhhh!"
I think I would rather have the quick mana of Lotus Petal than Jeweled Amulet, but overall I would just rather have neither in MUD as there are far better options. Since you have to wait a turn to use it, it's basically a worse Grim Monolith as far as mana acceleration goes.
I thought that there would be some general interest in Jeweled Amulet being a very good card.
Everything about that is not very exciting when the gist is essentially use bad cards to play good cards -> sacrifice good cards. This all could have been accomplished with other cards. And not to say there isn't risk involved, but sol land -> monolith -> metalworker feels better.
Needless to say a single instance of jeweled amulet being useful does not make it a good card.

You should definitely play Sol Lands, Grim Monolith and Mox Diamonds before considering Jeweled Amulet or Lotus Petal. If you're trying to be as explosive as possible, Jeweled Amulet may get the nod over Petal to be a mini-monolith effect, but both seem underwhelming. Petal is also nice since you can speed out Chalices and Trinispheres sooner, which is arguably more important than the Amulet sticking around. The real accelerant that should get more attention in MUD though is Thran Dynamo, imo.

because it is significantly slower than lotus petal
what about a hand with:
city of traitors/ancient tomb
metalworker
jeweled amulet vs lotus petal
4x other artifacts
metalworker comes in t1 with lotus petal, t2 with jeweled amulet, big difference
what you're saying does make sense, having it stay around would be great for kuldotha forgemaster, but some lists will run mox opal in that place for the reasons you're supporting jeweled amulet
Your opening 7 contains the following cards,
Turn 1,
Wasteland, Jeweled Amulet (charge it)
Turn 2,
Cavern Of Souls, activate amulet, cast Metalworker
Turn 3,
Kuldotha Forgemaster
,
now, look:
When you cast Metalworker,
You didn't have metal-craft, and since you cast Jeweled Amulet instead of Lotus Petal, you now have 3 artifacts to sacrifice with Forgemaster.
Then you should include some comment of talking about its applications, not just giving a 'god-hand' for a MUD deck.
