Mhjames: mtgsalvation: I DON'T SEE HOW THIS CARD IS GOOD. I KNOW PATRICK CHAPIN USED IT AND WENT 8-0, BUT THAT WAS A SMALL TOURNAMENT. THE CARD IS TOO SLOW. YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THE OPPONENT HAS A SPELL IN THE GRAVEYARD
I'm in. I'll have a deck code up soon. Realize on cockatrice too.

Whenever a player would gain life, flip a coin. If heads, that player loses that much life instead. If tails sacrifice [card] and that player gains that life as per usual.

I mean, hell, we're all on a forum for something that most people would describe as a "children's card game"...do what makes you happy. You are never too old to enjoy yourself.
Sorry, but with school starting next week I'm going to have to drop. I don't think I'll have the time for school, moderation, the Modern tournaments, mafia, AND a Legacy tournament.
If it turns out my school work load is generally low I might be able to sign up for one in the future, though.
Just got to say, you've definitely earned distinction as an MTGS hero

Because he's the hero MTGS deserves, and the one it needs right now. So we'll global him. Because he can take it. Because he's not just our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. An expired rascal.

ExpiredRascals you sir are a god-like hero.

Since I'm such a nice guy, I'll give everyone an extra few hours to put in their deckcodes. The deadline is going to be extended by 12 hours to tomorrow at noon (12:00 PM EDT). I will post the bracket (which will be double elimination) shortly after that.

Sorry to post again, but I updated the OP with the participants + deck codes. I will PM everyone who hasn't put a code yet. If you are not on the list, let me know so I can squeeze you in.
Thanks for everyone participating, it looks like we have a lot of people, which is exciting (for me at least).

At the moment, I would like to double-elim. I think the event will run much smoother in that format but would allow players more play time.

Take a mechanic from the pre-mirrodin era, and a mechanic after the mirrodin era, and create a card that flavorfully melds both mechanics.
