I was wondering if anyone knew place in central/northern NJ that had a small/medium size group of people playing legacy. I would like to play a bit but all I see are $25-50 tournaments at stores here and there to win big prizes. I would just like to get my feet wet at the moment and play more "casual" games to get myself into the format a little.
I've heard that Time Zone Gaming runs small legacy events in Fords, but there is no information on their website.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks.
P.S. - On a side note, I have a majority of cards needed. It's just trying to find a place to play and get into it.

TZG used to do weekly events, but their calender stopped listing those, so I'm not sure if they still do those. I'm pretty sure that there is a bit of a Legacy community there at least, since while I was there some people knew what I was talking about when I was buying some cards for my deck, so you'll probably be able to play a few rounds if you go to the weekly casual events on Wednesday.
I haven't been to TOGIT in a while (a month or two), but they always used to have a small group of people playing Legacy on Friday nights. I don't believe it was a tournament or anything, though.
The Only Game In Town has weekly legacy events on friday, starts at 8, entry fee is 5 bucks. All money collected goes towards the prize. There's usually at least 8 people but there's been as many as ~22 some weeks.

Although always playing a deck I think is fun, I'm also always trying to win the tournament.

Yep we used to run Legacy events but the crowd kind of dwindled down because people didn't want to get into an expensive format. We are going to be attempting Legacy again beginning in January. A complete list of events is up on our website and we also have a group on facebook for discussions of Magic and things going on at the store. feel free to join.
