I'm really interested in developing and pushing 1v1-Pauper-EDH with an uncommon as your general and 99 comomons in the mainboard as a tournament format. I think that Pauper serves as a perfect medium for people looking to play EDH but desire higher interaction and don't care for or cannot afford a high cost of entry. I'm looking for people (particularly Cockatrice and/or Xmage users) who are interested in playing/testing the format in an effort to put together a watch list of commanders/commons, solidify game-play/tournament rules/any bans that may or may not need to occur for balanced competitive play. My goal is to stabilize and popularize this unexplored format under the name "Commonder."

I hope that if you see potential in this format you'll help move it forward!

Hi;
I think rather than this common thing, you get more mileage out of what we call "SilverBlack" - all cards common/uncommon in at least one paper set and then your commander any legendary as normal. This is twofold; 1) non-legendaries aren't particularly designed well to be a commander or are downright obscene (consider Mulldrifter or other CA enablers) 2) Sticking to any rarity but legendary allows for players to play real commanders, and not the overpriced trash from Legends.
Of course, the "SilverBlack" definition does carry it's own issues in rarity - cards such as Land Tax, City of Brass, Sylvan Library, & Strip Mine, among others are legal for play. But ultimately I find this makes for a most-enriching experience. For reference;
I have created a Discord for us to discuss/play/work: https://discord.gg/UmsQKT4.

And though it's not quite "SilverBlack", still built to a strict budget to MODO (15tix), it could easily be adapted to the SilverBlack guidelines. Yasova Dragonclaw: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/yasova-dragonclaw-15tix/
Hope this helps your format.
