Deck Construction:
30 card main deck.
5 card wish deck (Optional)
1 Commander.
Singleton.
Each deck may only contain up to two rares and mythics, and only one mythic. Your commander does not count towards this limit.
Rules:
Each player begins the game with 15 life.
Each player begins the game with 3 victory points.
When a player would lose the game, they instead shuffle their hand, graveyard, and exiled cards into their library, and lose a victory point. They then draw three cards. Their commander tax is then reset. If a player has zero points, they cannot continue.
When a player would win the game, they gain a victory point each opponent loses a victory point.
A player may spend a victory point to reset their commander tax anytime they could cast a sorcery. A player who controls another player cannot force them to spend victory points. This effect does not use the stack and cannot be countered.
Banned list:
Any cards found on the Reserved List, all silver bordered cards, all manual dexterity cards, and all ante cards are banned.
The format is effectively "Make your own Welcome Deck", played Singleton with commander rules. The Victory Point system is put into place due to how powerful mill effects are in a format with so few cards. My group has been playing it with Planechase rules as well, and it has been so much fun and easy to build for that I wanted to share it with all of you.
