Okay so this is a weird Variant I was thinking of.
Decks are reduced by 1/3 so we re looking at 66 cards, 65 + commander in this case.
Your deck must contain 0 lands. (Mana rocks are fine but 0 lands)
There is a new deck called the land deck, it is 20 lands/player And either no sleeves or all sleeved the same.
At the beginning of each turn you take one card from the land pile and put it directly into play as though you just played it. When a land is destroyed or removed form the battlefield, you put it on the bottom of the land deck. You may play cards that put more lands into play such as Rampant growth.
The land deck does not have to be basic lands only, Meaning you may end up drawing a dual land.
Aside form that it is still commander. Just removed the mana screwed element of the game (Though you may still get color screwed) It also adds an element of more answers popping up as you are not drawing into a land when you need a Wrath of God.
I feel this format would make green decks the most powerful as they are going to be getting lands much easier than other colors, but at the same time, with the fact they may end up drawing a mountain when they are not playing red slows down their growth power.
