I have been playing this deck for a few months now and I think it is a unique experience. I am always partial to using less expensive and/or more unusual cards. Although Child of Alara is a well know general, the deck strategy and style are not what most expect. I just want to thank the people responsible for this deck for thier work.
I would like to do what I can to continue the progress of the deck. I have found that untap effects paired with Karoo lands or high tide is a pretty slick way to finish games. I also have the black regenerator that decreases blue or red spells by one. I have a pet card, metamorphosis, which has been pretty useful for me. I am not sold on it yet, but thusfar it has been really useful and is another uncounterable way to sac child.
These additions have provided a more resilient combo finish than krosan restorer and the deck does not suffer from the switches. Basically, I have added.

There are many different ways to get infinite mana.
High tide (cast twice by wizard),familiar, wizard, snap
Two wizards, frantic search, one high tide, ghostly flicker.
One wizard, cloud of fairies, ghostly flicker, high tide/two karoos
High tide, two wizards, ghostly flicker, some cheap spell, Rewind
I haven't gone into the details of how each of these work and I am not saying that these are the only ways to accomplish infinite mana, but they are good examples. I realized the first time I won a game that my opponents had given up several turns before the game ended. I decided to investigate if there was a quicker way to finish off games and found this to be the best way. I know that there are many cards in these combos but the deck is very tutor heavy and many of the tutors are uncounterable. I have not found it to be too difficult to assemble one of the combos when the game winds down, for what it is worth.
If infinite mana is taboo in your meta, even if it involves 4 or more cards and the deck is only commons, it may be a bad idea to take the deck in this direction. If not, I reccomend you give this a try. As an aside, it is pretty satisfying killing off a table with a pile of commons in one turn(By countering your own spell to get an untap effect on 4 lands no less).
I have also added another kill spell beyond the fireball like card. I like skull rend quite a bit. The discard can be devastating to a table in the late stages of a game and it can be a kill condition with many of the infinite mana loops described above.
I've been playing this deck for quite a while now and I was just curious if anyone had any other EDHs that play out in fashions similar to this deck. I'm not really looking into upgrading the deck into uncommons, rares, etc, but if anyone has had experiences with other EDHs that they like due to how similar they are I would love suggestions. Whenever I build a new EDH, I eventually grow bored of it, but this has never been the case with Child. Thanks for any pointers.
Hey everyone, I wrote up an article on the version of the deck I've been playing for some time and linked back here. Would love to get feedback either here or on the article and know everyone's thoughts on my card choices and whether or not I missed something in the breakdown. Also, I hope it is a nice way to introduce new to people to the ideas and workings of the deck if they have any interest in it. Thanks
Hello all, new here. I've been following this thread and the previous for a few months. I've been working on optimizing my list a bit but I'm hitting a brick wall. Typically after playing a longer game(4 plays, 45 minutes or more) I hit a brick wall when I run out of resources. Not sure if it's some glaring issue in mistutoring (I get the engines online, or try) or some of my specific card choices. I'll post my list below.
I'm finally in the process of writing a primer for da Dreamcrusher - a project long overdue. It's over 25 pages so far - will most likely be around 20 pages when I finish editing Thank goodness for spoiler tags, heh. It discusses pretty much every decent card choice available, compiles most of the wisdom from this thread, and also goes deeper into the concept with budget lists of all rarities. There is power inside. Also discusses how to add money to the deck, from a most-bang-for-buck perspective, for those so inclined. It's taken me about a week's worth of spare time to compile and months of thinking.
I will submit it to the EDH Primer Comittee - consider this an offer if any of you afficionados would care to take a gander at it before I do. This will be our first Pauper/Budget green tagged primer! I expect to have a draft ready, perhaps even well formatted, during the holidays. Does anybody want a sneak preview in their Easter egg?

Oh, it's been a pleasure! Glad to hear you guys are interested, see PMs
EDIT: Loaned? Try explained... Mostly, people just roll their eyes, but I have one guy in the playgroup who shares my interest in nifty interactions. He could probably pilot it decently. I must ask him next time

I'm not one to play with any uncommons, but Pull from the Deep is looking pretty good in this deck. Reviving Melody is also another card that I think would fit the bill. Sadly, I don't really think there are any cards from this set that warrant inclusion in the pauper build.
If I understand the primer application process correctly, the thread must be a month old before getting approved, so that leaves me lots of time to edit and to add formatting.
Trancekat - I added you to the PM conversation.
Those desiring a prereview should be able to provide feedback by Sunday. More sections will be added during the day.
Pull from the Deep looks like a strong alternative to Regrowth. The budget list is tight and almost overcrowded on recursion already, but most things that Regrowth will get back will be instants or sorceries, so it makes sense. Reviving Melody will only be a bad creature-specific Regrowth most of the time though. While the budget list sports five enchantments presently, almost all return to hand.

Hi, I will put this land in my deck, as I prefer the risk of rainbow-nonbasic-ETBT lands than the risk of not having the color I want. The cut depends on your spells, see my sig for more info about my deck.
Treasure Cruise is a matter of taste, I disliked it, urdjur liked it. It's a good card on its own, try it anyway.
And if you don't mind go&post to the other (more recent - at least before my post) CoA thread, in this chapter of mtgsalvation.
Cheers

Cards I'm running that I see none of you running are Petals of insight, Ghastly Demise, Echoing Truth, Nature's Claim, and Moment's Peace.
Currently looking to take out Krosan Tusker for Mycosynth Wellspring, and Qsali Pridemage for an instant speed answer.
The issue I'm having with the long draw out games is in draw power. Petals of insight does good work but I want another outlet. I'm considering Forsee, Rush of knowledge, or Train of Thought. Thoughts on this?

On a mostly unrelated note, have you ever loaned the deck to someone else for them to play? Hilarity ensues.
