MTG Salvation

Used to play UW and Bant control in legacy a long time ago, and now im playing casually with friends and want to play competitive in post covid local tournaments.

I want to build a control deck around these cards, or at leats some of them (that i already own):
- Moat
- Peacekeeper
- Ghostly Prision
- Propaganda

Maybe
- Humility
- Dueling Grounds

Ive checked EDHrec and seen Agnus Mackinzie. its pretty expensive, but i could get it if there are no other options, since i don`t want al these amazing control cards to be laying around with no use. Maybe Tuvasa or Amareth? Dunno. It doesn´t have to be enchantment themmed.

I could go for a helm of obedience winconm, or maybe a stoneforge build.

Uh, Zur the Enchanter would fit what you want. He doesn’t have to target aura enchantments and makes viable plays by pulling both Ghostly Prison and Propaganda, or even Oubliette for removal.

How do you intend to win the game? Just slowing the game down without a plan to quickly finish off your opponents tends to be a bad time for everyone.

I suggest Dragonlord Ojutai or Bruna, Light of Alabaster for their ability to quickly close a game once you lock it up

Hey there, I saw this post and I wanted to help you make a decision. It seems like we are trying to be the control deck? I'd look into generals that provide similar payoffs for strategy.
I'd suggest not picking a general with enchantments at all, but one that offers utility to facility this strategy. Pick a game plan, pick a game B/C, and try to stick to this route. If you don't want to be in black, it seems that UWG or UWR are the other options.
Ask yourself, do I need to go the enchantress route or enchantment value engine?

You could try Tuvasa the Sunlit, she gives you Bant colors and card draw. Most competitive decks don't heavily rely on their commander to function and card draw in the command zone is an excelent way of getting ahead. This allows you to play your control strategy and drop Tuvasa for value early or right before you drop an enchantment. She won't allow you to combo off with her, but that makes her a low priority target so maybe she's allowed to live a turn cycle or two.
