So, this is a bit of an odd commander choice but its an upfront defensive commander that I plan to build up in a number of ways to be able to voltron opponents down. He gives me a good defensive stance and makes it hard to harass my planeswalkers. With several cool buffs from the deck he easily turns into a 6+ power vigilant beat down.
Currently I have room for three more cards and am not really sold on any one thing yet. I suspect maybe I should come up with a few more wraths I am just not sold on which ones as of yet. Or if anyone else has any interesting ideas I am up to hear them.
If you're considering more wrath, I strongly urge Settle the Wreckage. Great defensive play, with the added benefit that once they've seen you cast it, they'll forever be scared to attack you when you have 4 mana up.
I like the idea. I wish Djeru, With Eyes Open would cost less. Having a tutor in the commander zone, feels good. I just think that white is missing cards that can end the game. Most of the planeswalker + Ability are board depended like tokens or counter.
Ajani Steadfast seems like the best for the super friend theme Elspeth, Sun's Champion is the most dangerous white one.
The Gideon cards are all controlly but he can swing for 4-5 damage.
I like the idea. I wish Djeru, With Eyes Open would cost less. Having a tutor in the commander zone, feels good. I just think that white is missing cards that can end the game. Most of the planeswalker + Ability are board depended like tokens or counter.

I only played this game once which I did win but my biggest issue was that Baird seemed to have diminishing returns as the game went on and was a little reliant on a very soft forting defense. I did end up winning with a voltron plan and while I do really like a few of the ways in which I can turn him into a 6+ powered vigilant beater it felt a little like I didn't have enough ways to do that.
I did consider rebuilding with Djeru as the commander and I might at some point do that. As white / colorless get more planeswalkers I think his viability goes up. Some of the upsides of Djeru is the increased base stats and an easier plan to make him relevant in combat.

Oath of Gideon and Arena Rector seems like a nice additions, too.
I want to try this now but with Djeru and some enter the battlefield creatures and flickering. Forbidding Spirit, Wall of Omens, Stoneforge Mystic, Solemn Simulacrum, Karmic Guide maybe Knight of the White Orchid etc.
I think a valid finishing card would be Cathars' Crusade. With all the token generation.
Defense options:
