So when Slimefoot, the Stowaway was spoiled he immediately jumped out as a potential fun Commander to tinker around with and while I made an initial draft for the deck, I ended up tinkering on my other lists and that delayed this list coming to life. Didn't help that my first draft had a slightly awkward curve so ended up redesigning it and since I haven't seen that many lists with him being featured here, I figured I'd put mine up.
The deck is a more casual build constructed somewhat on a budget. Which is why I am not going with a full Doubling Season package and/or a full Grave Pact package in the list. Same goes with the mana base, which is pretty much put together with cards I had laying around. I might tweak it ever so slightly in the near future but I'm not going to invest too much into that part either.
So what does the deck want to do besides making a bunch of devious little saproling tokens? Well, at it's core the deck is still an aristocrat style build (Falkenrath Noble was not included to keep the curve lower). There is a minor +1/+1 counter theme in there as well, but the deck isn't geared towards being an aggro build. In fact, it is more geared towards ramping up into your token generating, then sac them for more value. Eventually hitting one of the a few 'spicier' ways to go for a potential win. I've purposely kept the amount of tutors quite low, as the deck is meant for a casual meta and for obvious budget reasons.
Right now, I'm still considering switching out Skyshroud Claim in favor of Fertilid, since the latter does play rather well into the theme of the deck and Claim does only get me Forests. Since I have no duals/shocks that is a slight downside to the card.
I did consider Golgari Germination, but am just not too sure about it due to the non-token part of it. I've been mainly sacrificing tokens with the deck and it wouldn't trigger of those. It's probably nice to have out when facing wraths but for now I feel its not worth it to me.
