What do you guys think of Myth Realized as a finisher? Cheap to start with, more robust than a creature, and a mana sink.
True, it doesn't have evasion, but it could be compared in a way to Blackblade Reforged, which is also a ton of lategame power without evasion.
EDIT: Also, hilariously, it can crew vehicles pretty well.
Darien, King of Kjeldor I did consider. It's a neat little trick, but thinking about the use case vrs. reward is what put me off of it. Ideally, I'm putting Darien out in response to a rather large attack, which then hits me in the face and I make a bunch of soldiers. Great, except I still took a bunch of damage and a field of 1/1 tokens probably isn't going to exact the terrible, terrible revenge I now long for. I think he's totally playable, especially if the deck is built to take advantage of his abilities (with Soul Sisters, self-pinging, etc), but I'm not going to use him in my version.
Monastary Mentor I'll admit I haven't considered. Looking at the card, it doesn't seem terribly synergistic with what the deck is trying to do. It's not historic, so I can't flash it out, and creating a trickle of 1/1 creatures doesn't synch up with the plan of using huge eldrazi and dragons to mash face. I may very well be missing something in the card though -- I haven't actually played this deck in a few weeks, so I am probably a bit rusty! I'm curious, what do you think about the Mentor?
Well, i'm assembling a Raff Capashen, Ship's Mage and first issue i want face is how to win with a WU deck and particular exploiting control way Raff have. One way to win efficiently with this color can be a token way. Analysing token producers cards fit with premises there are some interesting cards like Darien, King of Kjeldor, Monastery Mentor and Orochi Hatchery and some other classics i.e. Sacred Mesa, gods and so on.
About Darien, King of Kjeldor I've the same doubts you explain, Raff seems wasted for a sisters strategy. Monastery Mentor do not perfectly fit perfectly with Raff but number of creatures played in any my version of Raff deck is low so Mentor can generate a good number of token with prowess at end of turns or in response of opponents attacks. A maniple of prowess monk can be a really efficient killer.
I'm not sure about token strategy about my Raff deck so next question: have you never think for another winning strategy for a Raff deck? If I understand in right way you win swinging your opponents with big creatures equipped with my favourite blade.
Ah, I see. Sorry, I haven't put a ton of thought into a go-wide strategy for tokens in Raff, though I have no doubt he'd work in that way. I'd probably want to include something like Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite if you do -- some way to make those tokens more than 1/1s. (this presupposes you're using white tokens; it wouldn't work, for example, with Monkey Cage or Orochi Hatchery). Off the top of my head, Jazal Goldmane is also a great way to turn a bunch of weenies into a real threat. I mention those two because they are Historic and work well with Raff (other than Jazal having to spend mana on your turn), but traditional white weenie cards like Mirror Entity could work too.
For token production, Oketra's Monument could do some good work while also functioning as a quasi-mana-rock. Oketra the True itself, of course. Heliod, God of the Sun. I'm sure there's some other options I'm blanking out on at the moment.
As for yourother question, I have thought about having a combo finisher for Raff, most likely involving Paradox Engine and storm. I just have another U combo deck and it feels like it wouldn't be something "new" for me. Bashing people in the face with Eldrazi is much more entertaining. However, I have no doubt the combo build would be more effective!
Thanks for your advices, they'll be precious. Coat of arms can be surely another card to be evaluated in a token strategy. I'm thinking to build a base of Raff deck and then try to change strategies form big "fishes" like yours and small fishes like tokens. Do not really like have a combo deck. On my kitchen table combo decks are received with the max possible damage dose, and sincerely I encourage this kind of behaviour. Otherwise paradox engine can be useful with token production strategy too, but surely underused.

Looking deep I've noticed you haven't Myojin of Seeing Winds. Have you evaluated it?

I also have some jank cards I put in like Myth Realized and Golden Guardian that I hope will net some value.
