I like to build around original or different commanders. I initially didn't get the wizards precon, but have picked Mairsil up as being a cool figure from the depths of Dominarian lore, and having a really interesting ability.
Bear in mind the list to follow is mostly budget, and thrown together without playtest. I don't know how this will work, but I am happy to take suggestions in the meantime. There should be a reasonable amount of synergy, but I'm not sure precisely how I mean to win, so anyone who has played with Mairsil is welcome to make suggestions. At this point though, without a huge budget I won't be entertaining any premium buys.

These should be some pretty strong changes. It kind of seems like a steep curve at the moment, but then a lot of the higher ticket items I'll be caging not casting. Curve and landwise, I'm really not too sure what to do. I've seen lists very low on land, so I'd be happy to hear some advice on how to proceed from here.
Just letting you know, if Mairsil has caged a Reassembling Skeleton, he wont have the return ability while Mairsil himself is in the graveyard, as his actual on-card ability is only active while on the battlefield.
I can't remember where I saw this but I wanted to play that combo as well, and in a thread on the subject found that it's not possible.
Thanks, I'd assumed the same. Reassembling Skeleton is there more as a chump blocker if needed than anything else. I tend to be a little hesitant with builds that are voltron in essence. This isn't entirely creatureless obviously, but I do like to have contingencies.
